I was wondering something Biggbear8 ... why did you feel it necessary to STEAL MY STORY!

Not only did you steal my story and post it under your name, but you changed my character names and the title.

Let's face it, you and I both know that you didn't write the story called Bound By Love. It is actually a story titled Sensual Bonds that I WROTE! I have contacted the powers that be at Literotica and it has been delt with on this site.

I want to know why. Why did you feel it necessary to STEAL MY STORY instead of writing your own? And where else did you post it to?

I think you owe me the truth on this.

You claimed that he had submitted a story called Bound by Love and that your story was entitled A Sensual Bond. Why then does he have the story listed as A Sensual bond and not Bound by love? And why do you NOT have either of the two titles listed? Something is fishy here.

My reply: The reason his story isn't listed any more is that the powers that be as Literotica have already removed it, for which I do thank them. My posting to him here is for answers ... not the removal of my story. That has been taken care of.

As to why my story is not posted to Literotica, I do have my own website. Two actually, and I do post other writings to them. Sorry but not all of my writings will ever be posted here. But all of my writings are originally posted there.

I say you stole it for the simple reason that YOU DID! Lying and saying that you didn't doesn't make it any less plagerism.

Sorry Biggbear8, but I wrote it, and YOU KNOW IT!

You say that you wrote it (which is a lie) and edited it, but changing the characters names and the title, is NOT editing.

I still want an answer as to WHY? Why claim that you wrote something that you didn't? You stole something I worked hard to write and to get to where I wanted to share it. And for what?

As for proof ... your copy was posted AFTER Sensual Bonds was posted to my website and my editor's website.

Now are you ever going to answer my question, ... WHY?

MG, your post is the only thing worth reading on this thread. P.

Actually, I'm pretty excited by the whole thread. I keep trying to go back to work, and then I think: What's happening back on that plagerism thread? How will things turn out? How strange is it that MH and BB both registered at the same time?

I hope it all works out for the best.

Interesting thread. And interesting defense by BB8.

I took a peek at MH's website and she definitely has evidence to back up her claim. My understanding is the BB8 first made his story public here at Lit.

MH's version (apparently) predates BB8's Lit posting, so he could have copied from her but not the other way around. But this hinges on proof of postings, dates, and such.

Now, it's conceivable that the two stories were very similar but not copied from each other. Since I have only one version (MH's), I can't tell. But obviously, Laurel was convinced about MH's claim. On the other hand, if that's the case, I don't understand why BB8 has not been banned completely from Lit.

Something's not quite right with this.

On that, I will let Laurel answer for herself, should she wish to/feel it necessary.

However, it is my understanding that the issue has not been resolved completely.

I think that one of the least mature things to do would be to try to humiliate someone publicly. I'm not saying I don't believe that BB8 stole your story, but I do think that you should have refrained from starting this post after the problem had already been dealt with. Shame on you for going a step further than the plagarist in question and humiliating him or her in public.

You better believe it is fishy...those stories are nothing alike. Also with the wealth of stories here there will be some stories that appear close.

I recently had someone do one of mine almost word for word. A friend said to me..."Hey be flattered." I let it go...

This is really a classy way to settle it...PM him or send feedback...this is a great way to ruin someone. Did you ever even remotely think it might be a coincidence...I doubt it...

I totally agree with Chicklet (really); plus this is soooo boring and a waste of the AH (imho).

Dear WSO,
Now that's something I didn't think of. You have a very devious mind. I like that.

Here, here!:D I agree with you on this. I will admit BiggBear8 is a very dear friend of mine who has very very serious heart problems.

He spent the day in the hospital undergoing serious testing and you go and post this BS. Shame on you.

I don't feel any sympathy for Bigbear8 if he stole the story. Humiliation? Whooopee fuckin' do. Humiliate the man. I don't believe his heart trouble is relevant to the issue at hand. Sympathy pleas are tres gauche. If he has an ounce of character, he wouldn't play the feel-sorry-for-me-because-of-my-health card.

I also don't feel that uploading something onto your own site and dating it that way constitutes proof you wrote it first. I can upload anything and claim that happened years ago and I'm only semi-computer literate.

So the jury says: there's no proof that he did it other than that the matter is being loocked into. There's no proof he didn't do it, either. So, I can only sit back and wait for developments.

BB8 is lucky if that is all that happens to him, in reference to being humiliated! Copyright infringement is serious business and he could be sued.

If you look at all his stories, each one has a different 'voice' so you can't say he wrote them all. As writers we all have an individual voice which is as unique as each person.

I read this thread and became nauseated. Michelle, I know Bear, I read that story which was originally "Bound By Love", it was told from his point of view, not yours. To go as far as saying he is a plagiarist is just ridiculous. We all have similar fantasies.

I cannot count on all fingers and toes the amount of times people have sent feedback that said, "I've always fantasized about doing that with my lover." Why would your fantasy be only yours? Why couldn't Bear share the same fantasy through the eyes of a man instead?

I question your dramatic tactics here to have your stories read by accusing an author (and a fantastic one I might add) of stealing your story. I wonder if your deviosity runs so deep that you have begun this thread for attention and for hits on your "other" site at the expense of a well loved author.

I agree with the above posts where it was said "shame on you".
I also agree that if you had questions about his originality, you should have conducted yourself in the more professional manner by contacting the person in question, in private. Public humiliation serves the purpose of the humiliator, but it also makes them look like a completely nasty person with no regard for anything humane.

;) Why thank you dear, It does tend to land me in hot water at times though. It just seemed inappropriate to put in a link to a thread that doesn't relate to Literotia. Seems like a slap in the face to Litland really.

I'm just hoping that the public crap dished out on this thread gets as loud a public apology at some point. And I'm wishing that this kind of stuff was not brought into the public arena in the first place.

Dear WSO,
I agree. I've never used the "Ignore" function, but I just might see how it works.

Hiya MG,
It works excellently. I have two Hangout visitors on it permanently. I check their occasional posting from time to time and every time am glad I have them still on ignore.

It shows up that they've posted, but you have to deliberately click on the link to see what it is they've said. It's a good function.

I've stumbled on this thread rather late. I love a mystery. I think that BB8's story (or not) should be reposted, because I would love to read the two and make up my mind.

Otherwise, all I can see is bickering. No smoking gun, just smoke.
