So what is it you are suggesting exactly? That she's smart enough to play dumb so as not to bruise your fragile male ego?

Being devious often requires a certain degree of intelligence, but in a larger sense, if such intelligence is only directed towards personal gain at public expense it can be termed as having a negative effect on group fitness - in this sense, the word "intelligence" is merely a descriptor rather than a value judgment.
 
In other words, noting that Palin has conservative males wrapped around her little finger by acting the bimbo, is more of an assessment of the weakness of conservative males.

You assume I'm in the "liberal camp" or that everyone who might be left-leaning agrees with everyone else who falls into that category. That was where the breakdown occurred in your logic there, in case you missed it.

No pain here. Paglia and her views have been outdated since I was a college co-ed.

I prefer to assess the worth of each opinion on its own, rather than first deciding on the worth of its formulator and accepting all of his or her opinions equally. That's why I read your posts. Hope springs eternal. :D

She's a joke. Has been for years.

Peggy Noonan is her bookend - an anti-intellectual, washed up B-movie actress, notorious only for her big mouth and her bitterness at being the spoiled brat daughter of a failed businessman.

That you put their opinions above others' says much much more about you than it does about the spoutings of either of these idiots.

Shouldn't that be in your signature. "I get all my opinions directly from God." So you get your news from Camille and Peggy, and your opinions from God. It must be convenient not to have to think for yourself.
