ATTENTION: Important issue for all Anthologiers

the links are where they are because on a top bar they would look crowded because there are 8 of them,so hubby put them at the side becuase it looks better and is easier for naviagtion, as people can clearly see they are links to other pages on the site.

To be honest, I think 'Authors' could be merged with 'About Us'. I don't know what it is, but I don't like having the links in with the quote. I do think they looked better up the top. £0.02.

Frames or not? We kept in the frames to echo Earls original idea, the scroll bar cannot do the whole page on the frames look, so would have to be unframed for the scroll bar to scroll the whole thing.

Entirely my fault. I've just been talking with EL via PM on this and saying that I didn't realise that my drawings looked as though they had frames in. I don't like frames at all in websites; they'renot my cup of tea and was angling for something in this kind of style: http://www.restlessbtvs.com/trivia/index.php, where the sidebar and the titlebar are not actually separated by anything more than a little graphical feature.

Ok some changes have been made, check again and see what you think of the changes.

(colour and size of text and online shop opening in a new window, will add font once recieved but changed title to Erotic Anthology)

The fonts look a lot lot better. Far easier on the eye now.

Just noticed when playing with the quote thing - Some of the quotes have speech marks around and some don't. I think that's my fault for submitting mine with speechmarks.

I don't know that I like having Erotica Anthology up the top. It's a bit... blah, isn't it? After all the time we spent choosing how to name our anthology, we're titling our website with the very functional 'Erotic Anthology - Does exactly what it says on the tin'.

If we diversify, then we can change it. Right now, I think that Coming Together is a damn fine name that I think we should use on the website. Erotic Anthology is a description, not a name.

Hubby has put in just what I sent to him for the quotes, so that accounts for inconsistancies,it will be sorted as we go along :)

titlewise, Lil'miss ocmprimise that I am, can we have both "Erotic Anthology" and "Coming together" at the top, one either side? I am not sure which is best to be honest...

My personal opinion is that just having 'Erotic Anthology' reads like we're selling the Tesco's Value version - you know hte kind of product that doesn't have a name, just a white label and a description of what's inside. Tinned Peaches, Baked Beans, Erotica Anthology.

Anyways, I'm off to do some revision. Say thanks to your hubby again EL.

Okay, so I lied. Just played with the quote thing again - wouldn't it be very cool if the Author's name could be a hyperlink to the About Us page at the appropriate height?

Now I'm off to work.

Some folks are never satisfied ;)

Good idea though.

Now go revise!

The greatest computer game ever was Championship Manager (May still be, I haven't played it in a while), simply because of the time and detail put into it by the makers. Everything that looked as though it might be clickable on, could be clicked upon, and that click took you to useful information about that something. Every time you saw a player's name, even if it was just in a match report, you could click on it and it would bring you to his player statistics page. You could practically navigate the program without the need for the menus.

It's why Wikipedia is so enthralling - you always see one more thing to click on and everything links to everything else. It's that kind of attention to detail that I think we need. Admittedly, this anally retentive attitude may result in the phrase "Fuck off and leave me alone," but I think it's worth aiming for.

I do agree with the genericism of "Erotic Anthology" ... however, I'm just thinking to the future, when "Coming Together" might not be our only product. ;)

Both sounds fine, EL.

Now, I'm off to find that font & PM you the bios

Well, the future can be the future. Best to think of what's on now. <smiles> Good to know we're thinking big.

Okay EL, I'm going to go revise! I can almost hear you chastising me from the other side of the country.

Ooh, a bit harder thanks.

So are we going for both now? "Erotic Anthology" and "coming together."

Hubby is eager to get on, but his dell laptop is falling to pieces (useless piece of friggin hardware) so it need sorting before he can do any more work. Hopefully though, he'll be on the job again ASAP!

Any more opinions...all opinions wanted.

I wonder...should I start a speerate thread for people to check it out, without specifying it's the anthology website, so we might get more imput than just those in the books?

I completely agree. Besides we have more products than just the anthology. I think "Erotic Anthology" is more of a 'pidgeonhole' than "Coming Together"-- there's no reason why Coming Together can't be the 'companies' name, even if the company creates other products.

I do like that (and especially on Wikipedia) but menus are nice too. I'm the kind of person who clicks on site map so I can see everything that's available laid out in an oderly fashion. (would you do that for me E.?;) --just lay out everything that's available in an oderly fashion  )
