I have now officially cried my way out of a total of 6 speeding tickets.

:D

At 5, I felt like I shouldn't joke about it... I felt like it would just come back and bite me in the ass. And maybe it still will - who knows.

When I got pulled over this evening (for going exactly 10mi over the speed limit), I thought I was nailed for sure.

Heh.

I got a warning. And a citation for not having my insurance card in my car (I just got this car recently and hadn't gotten around to putting the cards in the glove box).

It's times like this - though few and far between - that I am happy to be a woman.

I'm also happy to be a woman who can cry very real tears on demand.

Red Rose, you are my hero. I could only cry myself 2 out of 4....what is your secret?

Oh sure, you say that now. Wait 'til you're old and saggy like me and they slap you with a higher fine just for trying it. *grumbles*

i couldn't cry my way out of a ticket when i had a 103 degree temp. i hardly ever speed..or break the law..but when i do...the big hand of the law is waiting..to smack me..right on the ass!

no wonder you break the law so much

I've cried my way out of many speeding tickets, too...oh, yeah. I don't drive.:p

I've been pulled over by a few cops I wouldn't mind a good slap on the ass from.

My secret? As soon as I get pulled over, I start imagining how much that ticket is going to cost and concentrate long and hard on how I can't afford a ticket - or my car insurance rates going up!

When the cop walks up to my car, I get a scared look on my face. An "Oh, shit - I've been caught. Please don't hurt me, officer" look.

Then the tears just start to flow... but you have to make it look like you're ashamed that you're crying... Heh. When he walks back up to your car later, wipe your face, etc.

Works for me, I suppose.

I have gotten pulled over 6 times for speeding. I have gotten 1 ticket for not wearing my seatbelt (I was wearing it - but it was only a $50 ticket), 1 ticket for not making a complete stop at a stop sign ($75 - I did stop!), 1 ticket for not having my license on me ($5 - whoopee!) and three warnings.

Here's what works for me...

I make sure that my hands are on the wheel where the cop can see 'em. If it is night, I turn on the dome light, too.

They never know what they're gonna be dealing with when they approach a car, so if you take that element of fear out of their situation, they're usually pretty grateful.

<~3 Tickets in 10 years (speed rounded down to 10 over the limit all 3 times), Countless warnings!

I'm sure my luck wouldn't be so good if I tried this in residential neighborhoods, school zones or shopping centers, but fortunately, my speeding is confined to rural backroads and interstates.

Oh man, I have never, ever, ever gotten out of a ticket, and last time, I really was crying! Lol

Way to go Red Rose :)
