I know people were concerned about losing civil liberties after last Tuesday's tragedy, but I hadn't considered that we'd lose our right to watch TV. Conan O'Brian came back on the air last night saying he wasn't going to be funny because it was inappropriate. I disagree. To me that sounds like terrorist have robbed us of our laughter. Television is our culture. Why are we taking it away from ourselves?
I'm an American, I have the right to change the channel, and get a different show. I live in the great county of 100 plus channels, and I don't want that to change. I also have the right to laugh at Conan O'Brian, who makes a much better as a comedian than a news reporter. In light of possibly 5,000 dead this may seem trivial, but having them take away our television and comedy makes it feel like they won.

Aternate thread title:
57 channels, only one thing on.
