Attack of the plot bunnies

After a satisfactory day finishing off a WIP, I went to bed thinking about how to conclude the next episode, which is about 50% complete.

I woke up from a dream about a completely different story, including the basic plot, location, and lead character names & backstories. Has the potential to be a series. So, my first task this morning was to write down as much as I could remember.

The moral of this story: they can strike when you least expect them!!!

I was already working on two WIPs when a third plot bunny hit me: Accidental incest between a man and a woman, unknowingly conceived by artificial insemination with sperm from the same donor. They met in college, really like each other, and have (protected) sex. By senior year, they are engaged, planning to marry after graduation. Because of genetic issues with their supposed fathers' families, they opt for DNA testing--which discloses the are half-siblings.

That was the backstory. The main story starts with the discovery. I'm not going to write this yet. I'll need to finish at least one of my current WIPs.
