Association Connection

In biblical and earlier times, a "Talent" was a unit of mass and an amount of money or value.
Homer was once paid in Talents
Homers are a good thing in baseball,
Homer Simpson is not a very good father.
I used to watch Father Knows Best when I was a child.
When I was a child, I played as a child,
Spake as a child
I understood as a child
I thought as a child.
But now that I'm an adult,

I think about Hugs, Kisses and

Blow Jobs.

The internet is an astounding place. It gives us access to so much good and valuable information--for example in 1993 a song entitled Blow Job Betty was released.

It's a far cry from Betty Boop I'll tell you that before you go Google it

These days to Google means to search (well sort of) ironically it also means an extremely large number which fits. Online you are Googling through a google of stuff.

The Searchers is a movie with John Wayne from 1956

The 1956 Mustang was a gorgeous piece of work that was occasionally endowed with a very impressive...

A muffler is another name for a scarf worn about the neck.
When you stick your neck out, you have a chance to either succeed or fail.
Failure is not an option was said by Gene Kranz for the Apollo 13 mission.
Apollo was a Greek

God.

Orgasms, myth, magic, or manipulation.
Perhaps all three.
"Do you believe in Magic", a song by the Loving Spoonful
"Spoonful" was sung by Eric Clapton when he was with Cream.
"Creaming in my jeans" refers to an orgasm when the Lady's hot hot

Hot

A Hot Rod is a car that's big and fast there are even songs about them, Hot Rod Lincoln for example

Seems there's a song about everything doesn't it? Or maybe I just have a well stocked mental jukebox

It's summer and when we go on vacation I make sure the car is well stocked for road trips--got to have Bugles for when I want to....

You need to be careful nibbling on bugles
you may break a tooth on the brass.
Spooky Tooth sang "Lost in my Dream"
A haunting song not for when your feeling blue.
Dream Weaver by Gary Wright, is the opposite, upbeat and happy.
Happy Gilmore was a movie and has no rightful place in this post, but we have to go where the synapses lead right?
Fuck, now I lost my train of thought.
So I guess I'll ride that "soul train" off into the

In old Hollywood Westerns "riding off into the sunset" meant happily ever after.

Happily Ever After happens to be one of the few TV shows I like right now.

TV has certainly changed a lot over it's history--I remember watching in black and white when I was little
I had piano lessons back then too, learning the difference between the black and white keys
I learned to play dominos better than the piano, counting with the black and white dots and tiles

Bruce sang that his TV had 57 Channels (And Nothin' On)
There are 88 keys on a piano
Our set of Double 9's had 55 dominos--sometimes you call them...

Are we connected do you think?
What makes a connection?
All these ideas are connected, though sometime by the thinnest of threads
Perhaps everything is connected.

On Laugh In if you wanted Lily Tomlin as Ernestine the Operator to connect you then good luck with that
There are lots of things in life that require a bit of luck
Hey, like in the song will you be my...

Since we have been playing words with a musical theme,
I'm going to assume that you referring to a type of "Good Luck Charm" by Mr. Presley.
Not the version by Jagged Edge. Although Mr. Edge presents a very sexual song.
When there are different versions of the same song, it's called "Cover"
When I worked with the military, a Cover was another name for the hat.
"Can't be outside without your cover!" was a rule that I never had to follow.
"Cover Me" was sung by the Boss and there are a number of songs with the same name although, not the same words.
So in conclusion. I'll state that if I can bring luck to you,
I'll certainly be your Good Luck Charm.
And if I don't bring luck to you,,,,,,,,
I'll do my best to simply be charming and

"In days of old, when knights were bold,
And journeyed from their castles,
Trusty men were left behind,
Knights needed not the hassles.
They helped themselves to pig and peach,
And drank from King's own chalice.
Oh, it was a stirring sight
These gypsies in the palace."

You do know the underlined stuff has links don't you, handsome?

Gypsy Rose Lee was famous for her striptease.
She eventually landed on Hollywood Squares.
A great place for waning entertainers.
Xaviera Hollander was well known for more than just stripping.
Her memoirs, the Happy Hooker described her profession in depth.
"Glad Ass or Happy Hiney" is the punch line to an old joke about a young girl describing her name in Kindergarten.
Kindergarten Cop starred Schwarzenegger. If you think that I'm going to rhyme off that name, you're nuttier than I am.
I have a couple of nuts that I wouldn't mind showing to you.
Perhaps one day you can take them out and see what may rise for the

Occasion.

My mom was one of those people who believed in saving things for a "special occasion"
I always wondered what it was that made some occasions more special than others.
Now I wonder if what she really meant wasn't that it was too good to have right now

"Not right now" is something else I used to hear from my mother
It also meant something else, it meant "no"
Now I wonder why, if she meant "no" didn't she just say that

"I just wasn't meant to be" is something people say when things don't work out the way you wanted
Like most people, I used to think saying things like that made stuff better
Now I wonder why on earth I ever believed something so....

I wonder if you made a foolish error, or an intentional misspelling when you wrote "I" for "It"
"Fools Overture" by Supertramp was a song that deeply affected me almost 40 years ago.
Today the songs seems a bit simple.
But the beginning of the original has words by Winston Churchill
"We shall never give up...." they were extremely powerful then and now.
"Surrender Dorothy" was written in the sky by the Wicked Witch of the West.
I long for your

Attila the Hun conquered.
zT the Honey does not.
Winnie the Pooh loves honey and occasionally can't hear

Winnie can also describe the sound that is like a horses sigh
"Wild horses" Sang the Rolling Stones "Couldn't drag me away"
"Wild horses, we'll ride them

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”

"You never heard my song before; The music was too loud" sounds a lot like my life when I was younger. But someday one day.

Music still weaves in and out of everything we say here, in this dance we do.

When people dance they Come Together to move to the music

One person can dance alone but it isn't nearly as much fun.

Neither surrenders or is conquered when partners join in the dance. If you'll have this dance I'll gladly follow your...

(I took a small liberty with your post and linked "Wild Horses" for anyone else who hadn't heard it in a while. Thanks for reminding me of that song.)

Lead is an ingredient that can cause neurological damage in humans.
But I'm sure that you didn't mean the element and would prefer that we continue the dance.
High Impact Aerobic Dance was a major part of my life a few years ago.
I'll disagree about the thrill of dancing alone
The spins, kicks, twists and leaps
Finishing the routine, without and error, complete,
Landing on foot, hands, butt or feet
Was an adrenalin rush that was tough to beat.
But I'll admit that a dance with you cheek to cheek
With our bodies pulled tightly to dance as one
Would be different, and probably more fun.
To complete this trip down memory lane,
I'm including three songs from my old repertoire

Listening to them this morning made my emotions so

I would love to cover your exposed breasts with kisses, and nibbles.

"Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast" William Congreve.

Savage was the last name of one of my football teammates.

He was aptly named.

The Name Game was sung by Shirley Ellis.

She could use her code to rhyme any name.

I've always wondered what she meant by the term

Well I'm not really a Fan a Bananas so when I get ice cream I generally get a Sunday

When it comes to ice cream I like scooped better than soft serve though both are good.

Raisin Bran claimed to have 2 scoops of raisins in every box

Lots of people make all sorts of claims, just check out late night TV if you don't believe me

People used to write a lot of checks before everything went digital and automated, have you ever had one...

Tiggers bounce because their bottoms are made out of springs.
There is only One Tigger though.
One is the loneliest number according to 3 Dog Night.
Revolution Number 9 on the Beatles White Album is probably my least favorite Beatle song.
Most people that I knew were either Beatle fans, or fans of the Rolling

Stones.

p.s. I can't recall having bounced any checks.

A mosaic is a picture made up of small stones, often quite intricate

People have been finding ways to make pictures almost as long as there have been people

There are pictures in caves that are forty thousand years old

Did you ever consider that the worlds oldest Profession is Teaching?
"Teacher" is a great song by Ian Anderson, also known as Jethro Tull
It can be heard on the Benefit album

"Friends" a sitcom about a group of People and some were intimate.
"People" a great song about love and
