Is there any way to find postings that have a scientific basis for recommendations? Hearsay is not well organized and supported with reasoning.
For what type of recommendations? People mostly share personal experiences here. If you’re looking for peer reviewed, I’d suggest a search for scholarly articles rather than an erotica website.

What works and why does it work?

How about, what makes receiving anal pleasurable, and why does it work? People aren't simple, so the answer can't be simple and good also.

Is there a way to jump from the forums to the stories without logging on again?

I don’t believe so.
My one login covers both. On a computer web browser or mobile browser, if I am in the forum, I click "Explore" (with book icon) at the top and there is a list of links under "STORIES" - Categories, New, Tags, Popular, Awards, Favourites. If I select any I am immediately in the stories section already logged in.

The "Explore" (with book icon) at the top is only available if you are using Literotica Modern style for layout. You can locate the link to Style chooser at the very bottom of the page - on the footer. Displayed in very small font.

If I am in the Stories section I click the Explore Book icon, scroll to the bottom of the menu drop down and there is a link to the forum.

I also use the Beta layout for stories section - don't know if this makes a difference these days. In Stories section I click the My Options link (top right of page) | Options | My Options | "Participate in early site feature versions beta-testing" set to "Yes"

@NightL I am impressed you have embraced the modern style! I just can’t do it and I expected most of us old-timers would struggle to make the change :)

I just found the "Modern" style a much better layout for reading on mobile so got used to the differences fairly quickly

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Are there any rules around posting links to one's active Patreon account and inviting people to come check it out? I have a lot of stories, but some of them are fanfiction that doesn't fit Literotica's rules neatly, so I can't post them as actual stories. All my stories are freely available without membership, though I have paid rewards tiers there, starting at $3 if someone just wants to buy me a coffee. I'm offering beta reading/editing services for the rewards, independent of Literotica.

I just wanted to be sure if this kind of thing is OK to post on the forums, here. If not, I won't press the issue further. Thanks!

I do think this is okay. Lit authors are allowed to share links to their Patreon and Amazon pages, so as long as you have stories published here, it should be good.

Not sure where to ask this ? Can't find info. On how to DM or is it PM ? Someone ? To answer them privately ?
Help would be very much appreciated......Thank you

DM and PM are used pretty interchangeably, and I think generationally. I’m in my 40s and almost always say PM, but the millennials and younger tend to say DM.

If you click on their username, you may have an option to “start conversation.”
That’s how you start a private message. If they don’t have that option, they likely have private messages disabled.

For over a year I’ve been copying photos on various threads and posting erotic or humorous captions. Yesterday, suddenly, all photos on all of these posts across various threads were deleted and my ability to copy or quote photos has been blocked. Apparently someone in authority is upset with me. I was not aware that I was violating a rule, and received no notice accompanying this action, nor a “heads up” warning before action was taken.

Is there someone I can write to about having my privileges reinstated? I’ve been a member and author for many years. Thank you!

If your picture posting privileges were revoked and all deleted at once, it's because the owners have done that. No moderator has that power.

Also, if you've been posting things that are copyright, the owners of the photos may have notified Literotica, so everything was deleted and you lost privileges.

Photo posting rules are in the link at the bottom of every page.

Just to clarify, I never posted any photos that were not already on the site/ thread. I only copied photos that were already on the thread and added comments under the photo. I wasn’t aware this was a rule violation. Any chance these privileges could be reinstated at some point? There was no warning or notice.

You can PM the owner @Laurel. She's the only one who has the power to revoke/reinstate picture posting privileges.

Someone told me if it's sent by a male it's a DM (Dick M) and female PM (Pussy M) much easier to understand

Okay. That’s not at all true, though. It’s definitely generational.

Thanks for the weird mansplaining, though. I hope you’re joking.
