Ask The Beast...

I have read a few contrasting theories of the classic tale you hale from.

Firstly, that the beast was not a punishment, but a gift….an opportunity for the prince to face his demons and come to accept a union of everything he was…is. So it’s a tale of self-acceptance.

Secondly, that it is more of a social conscious that goes to show the world the hypocrisy of the standards of beauty.

Thirdly, it’s a way to humanise specific psychological states that ebb and flow through both the darkness and lightness of life.

So, my question is Mr Beast, where does the truth lie?

Or perhaps this is too deep for a question, in which I completely understand. :rose:

Hello...how are you?

I’m always curious. I know you barely know me, but I like asking questions.

What are some aspects about yourself that you like?

What are some aspects about yourself that you don’t like?

What is your fav color?

What is it that you see in Lit that disturbs you? How would you change it?

How would you describe yourself to someone blind to give them a mental picture of you?

If I come across too peering, please forgive me.

Hi BCC!

Well, these are just generally pretty interesting questions. Forget mine, hers are much more interesting!

Good job, BCC!

I have a mind, and the aspect of a gentleman.

The fur, as it were. Less dislike more it's more trouble than it's worth.

Red.

Occasional insensitive comments and trolls. Honestly I don't see those going away.

The face and smile of a gentleman, the body of a beast or werewolf.

My best response would be a mixture of both your second and third points.

If you could go back and give your younger self some advice, what would that be?

What is something about you that is quite surprising?

Are you left handed, right handed or ambidextrous?

What captures your attention more:
Finding the target of your interest (the search) or the keeping the interest of that target (a different kind of search)?

Do you find structure or spontaneity more appealing?

What is the most creative gift you’ve ever given or received?

I can drone on about the First and Second World Wars for hours...

Righty. Wish I was sinister on occasion though.

Keeping the interest.

Honestly, structure.

I've been known to commission art fro people as gifts.

What is a personality trait that attracts you?

Has that changed over the years or it pretty much stayed the same?

Do you like sports? If so which ones?

Sweetness, honesty, snark. Pretty much stayed the same.

Of course I do. Hockey, football, curling... I mean I am Canadian.

I just got caught up… very intriguing!

If you could have dinner with one famous person dead or alive who would it be and would would you dine in?

Who is your celebrity crush, if you have one?

What’s your favorite gift to give and favorite to receive?

Arthur Currie, Canadian General in WW1, I'd love to pick his brain about building the Canadian Army and how it helped define Canada as a nation not just a servant of Britain. Dine out, steak.

Scarlet Johansson , that smile.

A smile to receive. Food or art to give.

When was the last hockey game you attended? (Have restrictions eased up there?)

I take it that you’re fit and tall. What can you do with ease that would surprise most?

What makes you stand out from any other Canadian with similar attributes?

It was a few years ago. No, still restrictions up here.

Not that tall, need to get back in shape... Damn Covid weight. I can and have laid out guys a lot bigger than me on the hockey rink, low centre of gravity.

I can spout off anecdotes about Canadian Victoria Cross Recipients with ease...
