Never have, though think it could be interesting.

Kirk or Picard?

Sorry man I should have answered this. I'm a Picard guy.

Picard. Kirk seemed to over the top for me.

Did Vader kill the Emperor to save his son or "save" himself?

Both. He killed vader to end the Dark in his life and let his son live in the light.

Do you think that Obi Wan made a mistake training Aniken? Should he have listened to the council?

Yes I do think it was a mistake...however the whole Ep 1 - 3 were a bigger mistake! He should have listened to the council but the prize of what Anakin could be was too tempting.

Who are Rey's parents?

Excellent question! I think Luke is her dad. We know nothing about any of Luke's amorous liasons, so I think it will not be a major character in the Ep 4-6 trilogy (or as I think of them, "THE" Star Wars Trilogy - I'm old...this new fangled stuff confuses me...;) )

Switching gears a little.

Who is your favorite sci-fi or fantasy author?

I've got to go old-school with Robert Heinlein. (A close second is the humor writer Christopher Moore - he writes technically fantasy - and it's almost universally laugh out loud hilarious. I highly recommend "The Island of the The Sequined Love Nun".)

What was the last book you read that influenced how you viewed the world?

I can't really completely answer this, but a friend of mine wrote a book in our professional area. It has completely changed how I do my work. But I don't want to reveal all the details and it wouldn't help very many (any?) others here.

The one I can talk about is "Undaunted Courage" by Stephen Ambrose. (who, in spite of issues at the end of his career, is a fantastic history writer). It is the biography of Meriweather Lewis (of Lewis and Clark). It is both enlightening from an historic standpoint and from a "struggles of an individual with self doubt" stand point.

LOL - this is not a question from me, but I nominate this as the best answer of the week. Made me snort with laughter at the visual.

It sure as hell cracked me up last night!! :D

How do you feel about body hair on your lovers?

I prefer a trimmed bush & smooth balls/lips

What is your favorite dish?

I don't know that I have one. I've always been a variety guy.
I might go with "chocolate cake" though, but I think you mean "main."

Currently, I'm fond of a new recipe we've been trying, Szechuan Lamb.

Is there a food (perhaps broadly speaking, or maybe just one specific), that you just do not understand why people like it?

Liver! My father loved it and I mighta been in 1st grade when he made me stay at the table to finish a plate of liver. I tried to smother it with ketchup and to this day I cannot eat ketchup with any type of meat - makes it taste like liver.

Would you rather cook or do you prefer to have someone cook for you?

I wanted to answer this....no...my son does!

I do not own a grill. Never got the point of it.

Do you own more than one car?

Yes, we have two. Well, a car and an SUV.

What is your dream car?

Something that gets me from A to B in comfort, while not destroying the planet.

You're dictator for a day. What single law would you pass?

Complete Honesty! Oh...no...wait...I've seen that Brady Bunch episode....hmmm...

I think I might consider passing some kind of carbon emission stuff. Not sure of the details.

What part of your country would you recommend visiting to a foreigner?

Snowdonia - beautiful scenery

Which historical figure would you have liked to have met and why?

My Dad. His strength in face of adversity has been inspiring.

How many times do you think you have visited Lit?

um...uh...9 years...times 365 days = :eek::eek::eek: 3285?
(sure, I took some days off, but other days I came many times...so....)

Do you think people get "addicted" to Lit?

Yes, I think so.

If you could improve Lit, how would you go about it?

I think it would help a lot if they had more money for better servers, but I'd hate to see it go "pay." (I wouldn't be here...it's not just that I'm cheap...)

I've heard suggestions about requiring credit cards - not to pay, but just to establish identity and cut down on alts. Again, I like the goal, but I wouldn't be here then.

I'd like a "Like" button on posts. It would cut down on the "reposts" in pic threads which burden the servers.

Do you have a favorite Ale (beer)?

Sampled many beers and ales... but a Brains SA Gold is my favourite.

If you could only have one alcoholic drink on a night out what would it be?
