Ask Azul: Version 2

When you have killed a long-running question-and-answer thread on the PlayGround by posting a question no one seems to want to answer, what is the proper etiquette for restarting this thread you once enjoyed?

Would posting a picture and quoting the grave-digger's scene from Hamlet be a sufficient acknowledgement of one's faux pas?

Again, an excellent question.

was the question too difficult? If so, then answering yourself and starting with an easier question might be in order.
If it's a call and response question, then it would seem a little out of sorts. However, if it gets the thread back online, so be it. Maybe I should take a look.

Dear Azul, (or any other electricians)

You know how each electrical outlet has room for 2 electrical devices? Well, in one of my outlets, I can use one of the ports, and then it will spontaneously stop generating electricity and I have to plug it into the other port. Then, that will work for a while, and then I have to reverse again. Basically, I alternate between the top and bottom thingies.

Do you know what causes this to occur?

It's kind of a weird thing that I've noticed in my bedroom when I plug in my laptop.

Thanks,
Sidney

I'm not an electrician, but it sounds like a short. My first idea would be to move the laptop to a different room. I would then try to plug something else into that outlet just to make sure it isn't the power cord of your laptop. If the other item works, it's your cord and it may need to be changed. If it was the outlet, you'd have to check the circuit breaker. Good luck.

Dear Azul:

I have a crush on 5 women on Lit.

Do I try to satisfy all 5 of them, or should I zero in on one of the loverlys and dedicate full time to her?

Only five? :D

You should prioritize them. #1 should be the first target. It is easier to keep a crush then to go to the next step and be disappointed.

Thank you wise Azul, that makes much sense.

I will recommend your genius, to my fellow Litsters.

Dear Azul,

I will experiment with this this weekend. Thank you for your wise counsel.

Much appreciated,
Sidney

Dear Azul,

Do you think firepower nandina are ugly? They are such an unnatural looking red to me. I'm giving them the thumbs down and will replace them with a different species or shrub. I like shrubs that look natural. Apparently red makes that difficult.

Looks like you already have a plan in mind. It looks like a nice red to me, but may not match your landscape.
Hope your electrical problem will work out.

Damn wrong again.....lol
Just kidding
Do you think all people have some good in them or are some just rotten?

;)

I think everyone has the capacity for good and rottenness in them. It is up to them which they choose to show more often.

For instance, you are not rotten. You are playful and cute and choose not to show whatever you may have that may be considered rotten in you. I am sure though if someone does cross you, you would not hesitate to show them this "dark side" in retaliation.
