As Predicted...

I think we have discussed the tenuous hold the unions have on workers and their diminishing membership over time and the likelihood this decision would come down.

Indeed.

Look at how bad political news increases then number of Throb posts...

Your former userid also confidently predicted that John McCain would coast to victory in November 2008 because the Bush recession (2007-2011) would end in January 2008.

I have no former "userid" here on Lit, but I do have to say I didn't expect Obama to win the election in 2008. Though I might have been wrong about that outcome. I wasn't wrong about the threat Obama presented to the country at the time, and time has vindicated that belief.

The difference between you and me is this, I'm not a lair. I can admit when I'm wrong. I am a happy go lucky healthy minded individual. You are a catalog of psychologically unhinged pathologies you enjoy displaying in public, a lesser man struggling to stay relevant but diminished by his afflictions.

RDS confidently predicted that Hillary was going to win which of course everyone myself included as soon to be the case. But he's so terrified of losing face he is unable to acknowledge when he's wrong that he actually hid for two full months using nothing but sock puppets because he did not want to face is ignominious shame of being wrong even though basically everyone was wrong about that prediction.

It's only recently that he's had any political opinions at all under RDS. He usually farms that out.

Sad!

Lol.. Yes you are a "lair", vette.

You've never admitted to being wrong or at the most it's an extreme rarity..

It must be catastrophic for Rob and the rest of Lit's left who see their main media support and propagator CNN now being beat out by the Food Network:

CNN FALLS TO FOOD NETWORK IN LAST WEEK’S RATINGS
7:39 PM 06/26/2018
Amber Athey

CNN continues to struggle with its ratings, failing to crack the top five in both total day and primetime cable ratings last week.

According to Nielsen Media Research for the week of June 18 to June 24, Fox News continued to dominate the other cable news networks by ranking number one in both total day and primetime ratings. MSNBC fell slightly behind at number two in both categories.

Fox News earned its 24th consecutive week on top of basic cable with 1,465,000 average daily viewers. They also earned 2,513,000 average primetime viewers for the week.

CNN, meanwhile, trailed far behind both of its news competitors, ranking 13th in primetime and 7th in total day. In primetime, CNN lost to HGTV, Investigation Discovery, the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, and the Food Network.

The Anderson Cooper and Chris Cuomo-led lineup earned them just 914,000 average primetime viewers.

Fox Business network also continued its superiority over competitor CNBC, enjoying a 25 percent advantage in viewers for the week.

Nice alt, endleftendliberalism, be a real man with a long schlong and come out with your true self.;)

Real men don't hide behind alts :D

So, I'm guessing you are male and of the Caucasian persuasion, so I will let you know what happens if there was no liberalism and how it would affect your peeps:

- No push for Universal and affordable healthcare (some of you oldtimers wouldn't be whining too much about your medical bill, and reading the Bacon Blurt RW crew thread, you all suffer from a myriad of health issues for not being spring chickens)

- No push for Free/reduced tuition (for your grandkiddies)

- No pollution regulation and failed action against Global Warming (guess your asses wish to ingest filthy water and suffocate with shitty air quality and black lungs)

- No Consumer-friendly regulation

- Unsafe and Back breaking working conditions

- No overtime pay

And finally, no Lit to spend your every waking hour jizzing to tit pics ;)

The list by no means is exhaustive.

You can build ratings on a model of poutrage only so long; eventually, their temper tantrums are boring even to the truly devoted.

there's an endless amount of video's out there with them melting down. Its hysterical to watch for a little while, then, just sad.

As predicted:

Supreme Court rules non-union workers cannot be forced to pay fees to public sector unions
The case concerns whether public employees can be forced to pay so-called "agency fees" to fund the work of public sector unions.
Experts said that a holding in favor of Janus would be the most significant court decision affecting collective bargaining rights in decades.

Tucker Higgins
The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Wednesday that non-union workers cannot be forced to pay fees to public sector unions.

"Compelling individuals to mouth support for views they find objectionable violates that cardinal constitutional command, and in most contexts, any such effort would be universally condemned," wrote Justice Samuel Alito, who authored the court's opinion in the case.

The case, one of the most hotly anticipated of the term, is the second in two days to hand a major victory to conservatives, following Tuesday's holding by the court that President Donald Trump's travel ban is constitutional.

Some experts have said that a holding in favor of Janus would be the most significant court decision affecting collective bargaining in decades.

Mark Janus, an employee at the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Human Services, asked the court last summer to overrule a 40-year-old Supreme Court decision. It found that public sector unions could require employees affected by their negotiations to pay so-called "agency fees," which have also been called "fair share fees."

When I worked for the state of CA, I would have robustly applauded this decision. I was not a union member, although I had to pay dues for the first few years. This was changed to requiring that I and many others had to pay "fair share" fees, and this was not as bad, but I still resented it because I did not consider the union (SEIU) as doing anything for me. Mostly, they just used the money to pay the bloated salaries of union bosses and to support candidates and ballot measures I opposed.

CNN isn't much more than a series of infomercials for Dems and "Progressives." Most people have better things to do than to watch such crap.
