As Predicted...

I am disappointed.

Not that the SCOTUS Ruled in Trump's favor but it means that four Judges either can't read and understand the Constitution and articles or they don't want to.

THAT IS BAD.

Clearly who you vote for does makes a difference.

Our Constitution is only one vote away from destruction by the left. Hopefully Trump gets two more picks.

I want to make another point. Yet another reason this dotard is short-sighted. Islam is EVERY FUCKING WHERE. It is the second largest religion in the world and the fastest growing. Islam doesn't just derive from one nation.

So to target seven countries is downright stupid. But then again, him and his followers aren't very bright, they sure are full of hate. This entire thread is a fine example!

Idiots, call it for what it is, ISLAMOPHOBIA.

Shameful in our once great nation.

Rather, it's in Justice Sotomayor's dissent where she meticulously analyzes Trump's prior statements and earlier efforts at a travel ban and concludes:

Sorry, Madam Justice, but your latter premise is NOT the "dispositive question."

Justices Sotomayor, Ginsburg, Beyer and Kagan apparently forgot that part.

Lol.. Limpdicked message board troll schooling Supreme Court Justice.

What an asshole
.

No. It's very unusual to see a woman described as "limpdicked."

It's more unusual to see someone so ridiculously bad at reading and comprehension.

Unless Sotomayer is colonel hogan, which I doubt...then there is absolutely no way I called her limp dicked. Jeezus dude.

Hopefully I don't have to post the meaning of someone "schooling" another person.

It's you who isn't bright. The national command authority has deemed those particular countries hostile security problems. They did this based on more detailed intelligence than you could absorb. Do note as well, the vast majority of Muslim populations in the world were not affected by the order. It's called NATIONAL SECURITY.

I could give a damn about little petty attacks towards me.

Again, it's Islamophobia, cutting the nose in spite of the face. Had he not expressed a vitriolic hatred towards Muslims and other minorities, we wouldn't be having this conversation on whether he is a bigot. That should have come to play in the ruling.

Now, should we ban all white American men because most mass shooters and domestic terrorists are white males? Be honest now. See how that works?

Doesn't feel good, does it? Do you realize what kind of precedence this sets?

Do you not comprehend why this is wrong? Are you capable of critical thinking? Or are you just content and smug, playing by your little badass rightist villain character you display proudly on the GB? What kind of human being doesn't at least waver with their thoughts on various subjects?

What about those people who can't even visit their loved ones in these said countries? Have you thought of the humanistic aspect of this ruling?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/25/us/politics/travel-ban-nations-terror-risk.html

"The Department of Homeland Security assessment, first reported by The Associated Press, found that only a small number of people from the seven countries had been involved in terrorism-related activities in the United States since the Syrian civil war began in 2011. In addition, the report noted, while terrorist groups in Iraq, Syria and Yemen pose a threat to the United States, militant groups in the other four countries have a more regional focus."

"Furthermore, few individuals from the seven countries affected by the ban have access to the United States, the report said, noting the small numbers of visas granted by the State Department to citizens of those nations."

Face it, with you all, it's not really about those Muslims, it's all about "sticking it to those uppity libruls", right? You all are sick in the head.

No, but if you write in complete sentences, including verbs, it would be much easier to see what you mean.

The decision is very unsurprising and not all that consequential. Of course the executive branch can administer security at ports and points of entry.

There was no way a Dec 7, 2015 stump speech was going to be the controlling data point. Whatever.

So what really is consequential is that the repeated campaign promise was that there would be a reform of the process for vetting legal immigration such that legal immigration would produce new citizens and filter out terrorists.

I for one am looking forward to learning about the new administration policy to meet this campaign promise and stated policy objective. But I am not holding my breath.

Now, should we ban all white American men because most mass shooters and domestic terrorists are white males? Be honest now. See how that works?

Your side doesn't have enough will, brains, courage, muscle, people, or guns, to carry that wet dream of yours out, dopey.

Now you all wonder why the manchild isn't taken seriously, if the whole basis of the travel ban is to 'produce safety', then ponder why Saudi Arabia and Egypt, much bigger funders of global terrorism were not on that list.

Because he likes to bully the weaker guy to appease his racist, thin-skinned fanbase, and he has business deals in those countries. Tell me how full of shit he really is regarding the decision not to include Saudi Arabia and Egypt on the list?

http://www.ibtimes.com/why-wasnt-saudi-arabia-trumps-travel-ban-list-kingdom-was-home-15-911-hijackers-2483416

"President Trump's sprawling business interests in Saudia Arabia may have influenced his decision, presenting a possible conflict of interest. Recent financial disclosures have shown that Saudi Arabia is home to several limited-liability Trump corporations, the New York Times reported. The Times also reported that Trump had done business in two other countries that produced 9/11 terrorists yet were excluded from the ban: the United Arab Emirates and Egypt."

All about money. He has no honor and baloney if you think this is 'keeping us safe'.

"But business interests aside, Saudi Arabia has long been a regional ally to the U.S. Multiple administrations have sought to sustain positive Saudi-U.S. relations in spite of the Kingdom's abysmal human rights record and history of supporting terrorism."

Basically because they kiss his ass. It's not really about 'safety'.

The countries on the list simply produce a lot of internal fighting and aren't fancy rich. Pathetic and by logic, many Americans (whites, included) can trace their ancestors back to 'failed' countries at the time, or nations with lots of infighting. But they want to hold their noses up like their shit doesn't stink.

As predicted:

Supreme Court rules non-union workers cannot be forced to pay fees to public sector unions
The case concerns whether public employees can be forced to pay so-called "agency fees" to fund the work of public sector unions.
Experts said that a holding in favor of Janus would be the most significant court decision affecting collective bargaining rights in decades.

The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Wednesday that non-union workers cannot be forced to pay fees to public sector unions.

"Compelling individuals to mouth support for views they find objectionable violates that cardinal constitutional command, and in most contexts, any such effort would be universally condemned," wrote Justice Samuel Alito, who authored the court's opinion in the case.

The case, one of the most hotly anticipated of the term, is the second in two days to hand a major victory to conservatives, following Tuesday's holding by the court that President Donald Trump's travel ban is constitutional.

Some experts have said that a holding in favor of Janus would be the most significant court decision affecting collective bargaining in decades.

Mark Janus, an employee at the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Human Services, asked the court last summer to overrule a 40-year-old Supreme Court decision. It found that public sector unions could require employees affected by their negotiations to pay so-called "agency fees," which have also been called "fair share fees."

There will be a lot of hand wringing and gnashing of teeth in the Democrat Party as a treasure trove of stolen money dries up.

Without the ability to force people to join unions they will, for all practical purposes, go by the wayside. So will prison guards making 6 figure salaries and exploding pension plans.;)

In Illinois there are 63,000 public retirees collecting $100,000 a year pensions.

1. "As predicted". Where are those predictions?
2. "As predicted". Who was talking about the unions?

So no actual predictions were made, just hindsight.

Search the posts over the last year, and read the legal journals over the last three years. I have dozens of posts on the travel ban and there have been several conversations on unionism in America and in government. Much of the legal community have predicted the decision we saw today.

Your former userid also confidently predicted that John McCain would coast to victory in November 2008 because the Bush recession (2007-2011) would end in January 2008.
