As if there weren't enough injuries/sickness in this house....

an ass av and talking about your Hemorrhoid cream is never a good combination.

If anyone didn't already know she was poor white trash, the tin roof has sealed the deal.

Lol - I bought it this morning from the chemist. But I have used it before for bruising around a badly sprained ankle. Worked wonders!

I guess this will rule out any group boning for a while, huh?

the last person i know who fell off a roof shattered multiple bones in his lower back and feet. he will have problems until the day he dies.

i wouldn't send a person i loved onto a roof during a storm unless it was a matter of life and death. it just doesn't seem worth the risk.

I don't know what's dumber: the fact she asked him to do it, or the fact that he actually did it.

If my wife came to me with a request like that, I would just laugh and then go back to whatever I was doing, filing the incident under "things to tell my friends about later to crack them up."

it's pretty stupid shit. roofs are dangerous enough on a sunny day, much less a wet tin roof and a rod just screaming, electrify me.

does remind me i need to find a ladder. i want to climb up into a tree today.

Metal roof + heavy rain + wind = Accident

It seems like it would have been better to wait out the rain... but, I do hope everything heals up alright

Doesn't sound like it.

Do you seriously think that driving to the hospital versus dancing around on a slippery roof in the rain is a valid comparison?

Actually, yes. At least a third of the trip will be in heavy rain and fog on dirt roads. Not to mention dodging wildlife and stock.
Did I mention I live very rural?

My guess is, you ans pretty much everyone else who's replied live in nice comfortable inner city or suburban places. Where you can get a maintainence man within an hour or two.
Last time we had an issue that we couldn't deal with it took 3 weeks for the repair guy to come.

Living where we do, we almost alwaya have to deal with anything that comes up ourselves.
There is no 'pick up the phone and call the guy' option.

It hasn't stopped raining yet.
Waiting it out would have resulted in no phone, a damaged roof, and possible water damage inside.
Not am option.
