If the events in Boston do feature organized terrorism it's an opportunity for the president to lead. Will he finally get out in front of something and stay there? We've witnessed him come back to the pack time and time again. Gun control a case in point. However, it's true of Libya, Syria, jobs, everything.

He's always detached, professional and analytic. These are qualities to be admired but a dose of passion about something is equally important.

And Obama was up there getting tearful about Newtown, clearly emotionally impacted and then responded with a push for legislative change and action to help the mentally ill and you're still saying he didn't take it personally or prioritize it.

There's nothing Obama can ever do that will satisfy you.

If Obama takes a significant part of his time and effort on Newtown related stuff then he gets accused of ignoring the economy.

If Obama delegates he gets accused of not prioritizing Newtown. Even if he delegates to Biden who is a senior legislator, has vast experience crafting gun control legislation, and vast experience crafting successful legislation in the face of partisanship, and recent success working productively with McConnell.

You should admit that nothing Obama does will ever satisfy you, even when he does the thing you want him to do.
