I think it's beautiful. And I envy you. I can't draw worth a shit. My dad can and won't and I want too and can't. Makes me want to cry sometimes.

Thank you, Kiki... I used to do a lot of art work in high school then pretty much stopped for years. I started a watercolor class last year for a while (the only place/time I can actually take time to paint).

A poem I wrote for my daughter when she was three months old...


your small sounds awaken me
and i rush to comfort you.
i hold you in my arms, close to me.
you are so innocent and trusting,
so beautiful.
i love the way you look
in the early light of dawn.
the soft line of your lashes
as you close your eyes.
the perfection of your mouth,
so peaceful in sleep.
your tiny face captures my heart,
so much of me, yet so much not of me.
you are mine to treasure,
and someday mine to let go.
for now, i shall hold you close
and thank you for choosing me.

Each one a thing
Of promised beauty
Rich in nectar
For the visiting bees

I drift around this
Bed of beauty
Reaching out to pluck
First this one then that

Gathering in the glory
Of natures gifts
To carry with me
To light my way

I place them with care
In my pail of water
Gently so I do not
Bruise a single petal

Enough, no more
Leave the rest
Let the bees feast
Upon the others

I carry these few
Within my home
Where I will give
Them a place of honor

I will gaze upon
Them often as
I pass them by
In a rush of air

Now and then
I’ll stop and smell
Feeding my soul
With this gift of life

But Dream, I just write what I see. I look at your pic and see Blossoms gathered from a bed, each one choosen for it's beauty. And I can just see them in a vase standing on a table with you passing by while doing your daily duties. And you stopping and bending over to smell them so you can dream of the sun on your face as you picked them.
