Here's one for the guys... if you like cars :) It's also very colorful as well.

Can't leave out the guys, lol. :D

The rushing wind
As it flows past
The feel of the wheel
In my hand

My pulse racing
In time with the engine
I lean into the turn
As it speeds round

The power throbbing
Beneath the hood
Mine to call forth
To send out to battle

I feel the pull
Of ultimate living
As I take the lead
Nothing before me

No slowing down
Release the beast
Feel the lure
Of the finish line

The roar of the crowd
Blends with the roar
Of the metal monsters
Racing to the end

One more lap
The line ahead
My blood rushes faster
As the flag flies down

Once again I have battled
Once again won
My steed has served
To carry the victory

We take our place
In the light of winners
Yet we know that tomorrow
Brings yet another battle

The color in this one, by itself, is AMAZING!

My love for you
Flows like a dewdrop
On the petals of a rose.
Drifting over the
Softness of your soul
Carressing the lines
Of your body
Being drawn ever
Deeper into you
I trace my path
Over the contours
Each stroke leading
To your center
The creases of the petal
Guide me to your necter
With a rush I feel
Myself slide down
The slope to your
Inner being
And there I gladly
Drown myself in
The essence of you

This is a gorgeous picture taken by a friend, at a beach near us.

Rivers of molten gold
Flow across the sky
Echoed in the stillness
Of the waters below

So is life everflowing
Drifting through the ages
Echoed in the memories
We carry within us

Even as the light
Flows to the setting sun
So does life flow
To an ending

But even here
At the end of light
The end of life
There is a promise

For the sun will return
Bringing with it the light
To start the flow again
And bathe the world in its glow

So life too will return
For all ends are but
Beginnings of a cycle
That never truely ends

Amazed. :)

It's truly not that hard. Just bring up the picture and stare at it while letting you thoughts drift. They'll lead you to the right words to start. Once started don't worry if things change while your writing. I never end up where I think I will.

Maybe I will try it sometime... I get distracted so easily though. Anyway, you are a true talent! Thank you for sharing so selflessly with us.

What caught my eye in your pic was the reflection in the water. It reminded me of a memory, the same colors, the same shape, but softened around the edges. That's how we remember most things. Slightly softened. And the further the memories are from now, the softer the edges.

Pic of the Chrysler Building through the fog & smog of the WTC clean up efforts early this year.

A beacon stands
All shining white
For all to see
Through out the night

A sign of difiance
For all to see
Stating we will not cower
Oh no, not we

We will not hide
From you in fear
Though you brought
Your terror here

WE will not hide
Our shining light
We will stand up for
What we feel right

We plant ourselves
We're standing tall
You can make
Every tower fall

We won't back down
We will fight
We will resist you
With all out might

Behind our name
We will stand proud
We'll fly our flag
Above the croud

Learn this name
And learn it well
For it's the one that
Sends you to hell

We're the U.S.A
And together we stand
Tremble little one
As you feel our hand

For we will crush you
Til you are no more
From trash like you
We defend our shore

So be gone little man
You foul demon spawn
For free we will face
The coming dawn

Pain That Does Not Weep

by Blue Dolphin ©

Bound by silken scarf she lay
as fingers did entwine
within her luscious labia
to stir, the honeyed wine

Leather thong left to the side
rosebud pink expose
there lick the tip to fullness
let musk invade my nose

Blindfold moan, and tethered sigh
as drive my devil deep
inside the covered cavern
to pain that does not weep

Wow! I love the poetry that has come to light. I like that the pictures have inspired some as well.

Thank you for the posts!!

I'll post more pics & such later on :)

Hello Everyone.

Marilyth you have a nice thread. I write a little poetry sometimes...I cannot write at the level of Blue Dolphins most wonderful work but here is one.

Beauty

The brightness penetrates the room,
casting the shadows aside and sending them into hiding.
The colors go from gray to vivid imagery
taunting the eye, as a delectable splash,
picking up the curves, white skin and gentle lines
as beauty reveals herself naked and clean
glowing in the morning light,
she captures my heart.

I think I'm a junkie now :)

I see before me
A most wondrous sight
A vision of beauty
That takes my breath away

I gaze upon my love
Laid before me as a feast
Her skin is soft as a rose
Her eyes shining as dewdrops

Moisture gathers upon her
As a fire builds within
The blush of passion
Burning my gaze

She trembles gently
As if stirred by the lightest breeze
Swaying ever closer
As if begging for my touch

I trace the contours of her face
With the softest of touches
Burning the memory of how she feels
Into every fiber of my being

Slowly I tease her body
As the sun teases the bud
Encouraging her to flower
Even as a rose opens it’s petals

I watch as she unfolds before me
Blooming in all her glory
A blossom coming into being
Where a bud stood

I wait until she’s at the peak
Of the beauty held within
And then I pluck her
And savor the essence of love

going to repost a pic of some paintings...once I get some better quality pics...

A long hike up a mountain in Vermont was well worth this shot.

I look out upon this sight
This majestic view
Where clouds reach down
To caress the mountain tops

Where worlds collide
And sky and earth
Pleasure one another
Endless through all time

The path to reach this place
Was long and torturous
Steep and rocky and twisting
With many pitfalls to avoid

Many never reach this point
They stumble and fall
Or tire and simply give up
Never to resume the journey

I am saddened for them
For they’ll never see
The glory that spreads
Out around those here

They’ll never feel
The coolness of the air
As the clouds caress them
In passing over the mountains

They’ll never feel as one
With the essence of life
As two worlds collide
And become one

Here is one of my watercolors... and yes, I am a beginner! (so be nice!) ;)
