Cat

I confess I have been very slack in this regard. I did some sketching , I was 'organised' although was conflicted after awhile on the actual piece I had intended painting. Then a few months back I was really sick and for some while ( the whooping cough etc ) . With my responsibilities it all a game of catch up from there. I have actually spent more time leaning against the canvas than it would take me to have completion. Stupid huh. I really crave getting back into it , not sure what my reason is for procrastination currently. I am a little bit 'lost' generally these days.

Thanks for thinking of me :rose:

Ah, been there, probably more often than I would like. You will get there when it is right for you. :rose:

I've started quilting in the last year and I'm addicted to it. Here are a few of my projects...I still have to back and bind and quilt them all except the asian cranes one...that's the only quilt I've 100% finished so far. They are all gifts for friends. The asian crane is for myself and the school wall hanging is for a friend that is a teacher, I'm going to embroider her name on it.

For a friend that likes red and black. I love this pattern, very fun to make.

For a friend that likes cats but doesn't have any pets at the moment due to her job. This one is made in flannel and is really soft and cuddly

Just a fun applique' project.

I know it's not your traditional art, but there is definitely an art to quilting. My artistic background allows me to pick and put together colours easily, something most quilters have trouble with but is my favourite part!

serijules,

I would think by now that the world has recognized the artistry, technique and even historical significance of American quilting (is quilting a unique American charactersitic?).

That said, its great work. Well done.

A story behind this one. Some friends were coming over to help upload one of those mutli-player games for my wife. I had tease her through the day that I was going to trying and make her have an orgasm in front of them withought really having sex. Unfortunately, I wound up in tiptoing around a new breakdown of hers before they got there. After awhile, they were in geek mode, I was in protect mode, so nothing ever happened.

But, I came out with this little fantasy...

Argh! Everything you do blows me the F away, girl!

I KNOW how hard this is, having one mini lap quilt somewhere in a box from 2 years ago, halfway pieced on top - so much for THAT!

Lovely work seri.....I started quilting many moons ago, but life got in the way. Hopefully I can get back to it before my eyesight disappears more.

*grins* I have some more pics to post, just haven't downloaded them yet. One turned out GORGEOUS if I do say so myself, it is for Ma'am and I'm totally pleased with it.

I also need to post a pic of my Phoenix applique....I used Tulle over it before hand stitching the whole thing and added crystals after. I love love love it and it matches the asian quilt perfectly. I'll take pics tonight and post tomorrow so check back.
