thank you! :)

it's my measely effort at trying to be "artsy"
i don't draw...so, this is the next best thing

thanx again!

ooohhh!
good idea!
how fun...

this is a comic cell i am working on....i draw them all large scale first....then reduce them.
i do the inking and coloring myself (that is what that color graph to the side is.

So this is step One....concept.
I draw out the rough idea for the page...this will be the center art, and there will be three or four smaller scenes blocked around it. (which i will prolly draw larger, copy and reduce to fit the page how I want...)
Next i will transfer this basic scetch with primsa colors to some nicer bristol paper and do the coloring.

would help to attach the image, huh?

I've never really seen something like this done. You've got me all excited! Dang I enjoy this thread. Thanks for starting it.

Here is my 2nd oil painting... my first was a planter for a friend, and she still has it in Atlanta. I am not sure where pictures of it are though... perhaps I'll go hunting through old disks/cds....

This is a floor tile I painted and turned into a trivet for my grandmother... nothing too exciting....

It's amazing ot me how many really talented artists we've got hanging out here now. ^_^

*jealous*

ah well....guess there has to be us non-sketchers and drawers to enjoy and buy the work that these amazing folks do ;) :)

photographic art

I am not a painter. I am a photographer.
Nor is this sexy, but I liked it. It was an ice formation on a piece of fishing line down at a pier near my house.

That's awesome! Great picture. I've always loved the way ice can from on strange things.

And yeah, my scketches and such aren't all that great, but I'm working on them, and learning some photography as well. Generally I take pictures of things I think I might like to try to draw or that have really neat textures or lines to them.

Adaptation

I'm not sure if what I am about to post fits into what your doing here Esha. I admire those that can sketch and bring a project to completion. I honestly can't sketch a good stickman. LOL! Love the thread. Hope this post is ok. Btw Photoshop was used for the reason I already stated. :)

LIT just told me my file was too big. First time I ever heard that, but also never had it called a file before either. Things must be looking up for me. :D LOL!

am_bi_tious, I was remiss in not mentioning how I like your work in my last post. Keep it up, I look forward to seeing more. :D

*grin* you betcha! Now, do you use your finger to blend, or something else?

:D
i had a professor in school who use to rail when i put my FINGERS on the paper and rub....

actually i blend only the first few layers of color or if a area or surface needs to be smooth

Hey etc.. nice work on the modificatoins of Esha's pics there. And I agree with the general consensus that the second is best. ^_^

I had thought I'd go back page by page and comment on all the art I liked but dammit ya'll, there is just too frigging much good stuff for me to do that!

We have some real talent here. I'm waiting ever so impatiently for more :D
