I totally agree. I love to see things emerge on paper. Gives me a sense of satisfaction. I'm primarily a chalk pastel kinda gal, but have been dabbling with oil paint and watercolor.... not necessarily pretty, but I'm doing it anyway.

Man, I suck at watercolors... I'm sure it's a practice thing, but I just can't control it well... We've got oils, but I've never touched them. They make me kinda nervous. Oils are what "real" artists use, not lil ole me... What can I say, I'm a little weird... hahaha

That Owl's really good Am_bi. What'd you use to make it? You've got form down really really well.

The owl was a chalk pastel. I actually got to handle a real owl this summer, and took a photo. I looked at the photo to create the drawing. He's perched on my arm, but I decided to keep that part out of the picture. LOL. Thanks!

hmmm...this one almost reminds me of the image of the tree that they would show on Tales From the Darkside (i miss that show )
