I think you might be onto something there..all my friends lately have fallen into one or both of those categories. Although, I don't fit into either.

Defining open-mindedness
In the most simplest terms I could think of, being open minded is being able to accept and tolerate the "Idea," in any shape or form. Once one delves into "Beliefs" of an "Idea", does one start to narrow their scope on being open-minded. I myself, am an open-minded individual, with a few setbacks. Example, I loathe narrow-minded people that are so stubborn in their beliefs that their way is the only way. But, I have come to accept these narrow-minded individuals because of the situations, upbringing, family, and culture types they were exposed to.
Growing up as an Army brat, I have seen many parts of the world, experienced it and also learned from it. I grew up as a Roman Catholic but have since then sort of renounced my confirmation, and now believe that the one God that we all believe in (or don't) is one in the same. Different cultures, different beliefs of the same Idea, that's what causes us to look at religion and God differently.
The same with sex. Religious, family, and societal influences have spawned many different people with many different Ideas about sex. But, y'all already knew that.
I am so glad that this LIT AZ Community is finding an identity of itself and is willing to share its ideas and experiences with any of those willing to imbibe. Anyway, WADDUP to all you new AZ PEEPS! HOLLAH if ya hear me! UHHHHH! LOL

Bravo MrOpius. I think you said a mouthful, especially about religion. I once had someone in high school tell me I was condemned to eternity in hell since I was never baptised, christened, etc. Makes you really want to find religion, don't it?? NOT!!
