Like you, Stargazer, I'm not sure if I qualify or not. I hate confrontation and try to be civil and pleasant to everyone. For the sake of getting along with people, I'll let a lot slide. But I would not pretend to be someone's friend and then say vicious things about them or disclose things they've told me in confidence.

I wouldn't call it two faced though. Everyone has their moments and you can't always tell if someone is suddenly two-faced or if theres another reason for their behavior.

I'm not two faced, and what you see is what you get - but I've had days when I've been *special* if you know what I mean.

As someone recently pointed out, you know if I like you or not. If I'm neutral, you may not have a clue. But if I feel strongly one way or the other, you know it. I don't hide my opinions well, and I don't usually try to hide them at all.

That has gotten me into trouble in the past in my professional life, where being "two faced" is almost a real game. They told me my weakness was "not playing the political game well." I lost a few jobs because of it (even though they officially called it downsizing, of course.) But I think I ended up much happier in the long run.

I figure that I'm just human. I try, but sometimes my bad judgement getts the better of me, sometimes I just plain fuck up. Other times I try to protect someone (like myself). In general though I play straight.
