Are you right or left-brained?

That's true.

And it was a nice day...

But I did have my Distortion Cloak set on 'Normal Appearance'. ;)
You can never take too many precautions. ;)

It was a good thing you remembered, I'll report to Doc. Maybe he'll help you renew your USSM membership.

Thanks, Dino.

I knew it was a good move when USSM decided to classify talking dinosaurs as mutants.

And I can always use the discount coupons. ;)

Togitc, you are Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

The down side is eerily true

Vicky, you are Right-brained

Most right-brained people like you are flexible in many realms of their lives. Whether picking up on the nuances of musical concerto, appreciating the subtle details in a work of art, or seeing the world from a different perspective, right-brained people are creative, imaginative, and attuned to their surroundings.

People probably see your thinking process as boundless, and that might translate to your physical surroundings as well. Some people think of you as messier than others. It's not that you're disorganized, it's just that you might use different systems to organize (by theme, by subject, by color). Straight alphabetization and rigidly ordered folders are not typical of right-brained behavior.

You are also more intuitive than many. When it comes to reading literature, you probably prefer creative writing or fiction over nonfiction. And when it comes to doing math, you might find you enjoy geometry more than other forms like algebra.

Right brained and left handed :D

Elsol, have faith  - the results are not emailed to you, so you can give a fake addy.

I did the career personality test as well. I thought it was a test to tell me I would make a good prisonwarden or pilot, but it is personality based. It got me dead to right, no jokes.

Sarah, your career personality type is ENFJ

That means that based on the standard measure of personality traits, your natural leadership skills make you the go-to person during times of crisis or needed inspiration. You are blessed with the ability to maintain balance in the office or motivate others to join the team. You possess excellent communication and people skills, and help maintain a positive work atmosphere that allows people to grow. You remain focused and encourage others to reach a common goal.

You dislike office politics and try not to get involved in the murk. Instead, you rise above it all with your understanding nature. You like taking control of situations and projects, but do not flaunt your power in people's faces. You have a deft touch and inspire others with your magnetic charisma. You are well organized and are a strong multi-tasker.

The reason employers and recruiters might be on the lookout for you is that only about 3-5% of the U.S. population shares the unique characteristics of your personality type. Research shows that businesses succeed when employers create a good balance of personality types in the office. And since only 3-5% of the U.S. population shares your type, that means employers are looking for you.

Sarah, you are Right-brained

No big surprise here.

I think Literoticans who post on the forums must be that small percentage of the population they describe as rare.

Carrie, you are Balanced-brained

I'm a balanced brain here too.

But mine is upside down so its easier to balance that way.

I would've honestly thought that right-brainers would be the majority in a forum of writers.

hmmm....

Well the tricky part about writing is that you do need to arrange a story into a sequence of events that makes sense, while describing what happens in a way to communicate the senses and emotions of each scene.

The former requires logic and organizational thinking, the latter imagination and a wide overview.

So balance doesn't surprise me.

I wonder if the majority would be different for visual artists or poets?

Jomar you are Left-brained

Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others.

It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

No, Sherry...see it says right in the report that left brainers are by far the best written communicators, far better than any other brains. :p

Hmmm...this is me. :)

All except the paralyzed part...I don't think I have ever been paralyzed by indecision. I know I have chose not to make a decision at times, but I wasn't paralyzed by indecision.

Well, much to the surprise of Script, it turns out I'm right-brained too. :)

Go figure.
