Sherry, you are Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

Liar, you are No-brained

Oh all right:

Liar, you are Left-brained

Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others.

It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

Dino, you are Left-brained, which means that the left hemisphere of your brain is dominant over your right.

Typically, left-brained individuals like you feel most at ease and in control in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and in-depth, linear, analytical ability. Writing ability and sequential processes of thought are also traits associated with left-brained individuals. We know this because researchers notice increased activity in the left hemisphere of the brain in people hooked up to monitors when they ask them to perform activities that require sharp focus on detail and organization.

In addition to isolating the ways in which your brain processes information, your left brain also controls the right side of your body. If you are strongly left-brained, you will find that your natural tendency is to be right-handed — though with some skills, you may find that you are left-handed if a left-handed person taught you how to complete a certain task.

Hmm...

Balanced Brained.

Well, that explains the indecision problem I have.

Should I add more to this post...or shouldn't I...lessee now... :D

Nah, you don't have to. We don't want to get to know you anyway.

oh, come on, does cut-and-paste take you that much time? Give us more details.

I am...

Unwilling to fill in my email address for these things... probably make me right-brained.

Aw heck--just read Sherry and Starrkers posts for details.

Besides, that cut-n-paste stuff is too complicated for my indecisive brain.

Does it say anything about lazy in that description? :D

Wierd, it didn't tell me what side I am, but I guess it would be balanced brain. This is what they told me.

Your IQ score is 131

Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind.

ETA: So apparantly the test sent me to a different test than the one you were talking about, but I clicked the link again and it sent me to the right one. Oh well, here's my results for that test too:

Does that mean you sometimes hear voices in your head, TE?

Didn't dare to ask Sherry so I just ask you *snicker*.

You are just jealous because they are only talking to me.

No they aren't!

Yes they are!

Both of you shut up--I'm trying to type here... ;)

Talking to you? I thought they were talking to each other, then whoever sounded more persuasive got to say things out loud.

Does that mean you have more than two hemispheres, TE?

Balanced brained it told me.

Strange. I have papers that list in detail just how unbalanced I am. ;)

Minx, you are Right-brained

Most right-brained people like you are flexible in many realms of their lives. Whether picking up on the nuances of musical concerto, appreciating the subtle details in a work of art, or seeing the world from a different perspective, right-brained people are creative, imaginative, and attuned to their surroundings.

People probably see your thinking process as boundless, and that might translate to your physical surroundings as well. Some people think of you as messier than others. It's not that you're disorganized, it's just that you might use different systems to organize (by theme, by subject, by color). Straight alphabetization and rigidly ordered folders are not typical of right-brained behavior.

You are also more intuitive than many. When it comes to reading literature, you probably prefer creative writing or fiction over nonfiction. And when it comes to doing math, you might find you enjoy geometry more than other forms like algebra.

I'm right-brained :)

Typically, right-brained individuals like you are creative, imaginative, and particularly attuned to their surroundings, whether catching the nuances of music, discerning artistic elements, or noticing spatial relationships between different forms. We know this because researchers notice increased activity in the right hemisphere of the brain in individuals hooked up to monitors when they play music or ask them to complete a task involving spatial relationships.

Now that would explain the ambidexterity...

And the ability to levitate...

Not to mention the mind reading...

Okay, now I heard that...! :D

Hey, TE, Wolverine is calling for you. He says it's not safe for a mutant to be "out". ;)

Tell him no sweat.

I just ran down to the hardware store for a minute to get Doc Xavier some wax for his head. ;)

Poor TE, haven't you known? Doc will never need wax. He has been painted bald since the day he was "born." ;)

Well. Wadda know? I'm Balance-Brained. Who woulda thunk? I suspect my problem is that I use my right-brain for left-brain problems and vice versa

No kiddin'?

So I made a trip for nuthin'?

I need to renew my membership in USSM (Universal Society of Secret Mutants) so I get all the updates on who's become who. :D

Not really, it's a good work-out. It's not like any mutants can walk to hardware stores and not be discovered, eh? ;)

That's true.

And it was a nice day...

But I did have my Distortion Cloak set on 'Normal Appearance'. ;)
