I'm overqualified for my job, I mean I deserve a higher position, but who cares, I like an easy life.

Are you overqualified?

I like an easy life myself. Nothing like it.
I can not tell you all the times I have heard that excuse from interviewers.
Fuck having to supervise people, I do not need that all that stress, got enough of my own.

From a certification standpoint, I am likely underqualified. I'm good at my job, though, when I'm not sloughing off on Lit.

I'm totally under qualified for my new role. I feel like I'm treading water and just keeping my nose above. I suck at managing people which is probably why I hate it.

i hate managing people also. hard to avoid, though.

They made me a foreman for 6 mos and it was a living nightmare. I actually quit that job which had shitloads of double-time night shifts doing heavy rigging because I couldn't take the stress. Much happier as a mook in the gang.

Yeah its hard to avoid however my time, as rosco so aptly puts it, as a mook in the gang is what I miss. Going back doesn't seem possible at this point. Having to delegate people to tasks I kick ass at and they accomplish in a mediocre fashion is frustrating. At least in construction one can yell and berate the individual :D... occasionally.

cattle prod.

I get paid to sit on my ass and change the occasional adult brief, I don't know how much qualification you need to do that.

..that's how you end up with a white hard hat, a truck cab full of blueprints, 4 cell phones ringing all at once and 2 ulcers. It's not worth the money to me. I'll take the layoff, thank you--or do whatever else it takes to keep myself down.

I've never had a job so I'd have to say I'm adequately qualified for doing nothing

Are you overqualified?
You deserve a higher position? But you like the easy life? Sounds to me like you deserve to be where you are.

If we are not basing IQ on judgment, then I am quite certain it is.
