Are you ever scared of your doctor?

I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I went to this doctor for the first time. And he kept saying things about spanking me. Now sure I have no problems with being spanked or anything. But I just thought that was like really unprofessional, especially for the first visit. It might have felt a little less weird if it was outside his office.

I have never had a doctor do that. But i am scared when one of my docs. want's to put a flex scope up my ass. My primary care doc. if she asked me to spank her i would.

I've no fear of doctors at all, but I'd say you're correct you've been subjected to utterly unprofessional behavior. I'd be tempted to complain - probably by calling the receptionist and demanding a refund and to know where you file complaints about medical professionals and stating exactly why you're contemplating that.

Then I'd pick a new doctor.

But more of the news he could deliver to me.

I've recently had a few health scares with lumps and growths where they shouldn't be.
And the waiting in between tests for the results almost killed me.

Contact your states medical board of licensing. They do not allow a doctor to continue to practice with behavior like this. The only thing that scares me about my doc is the little paper with the check off boxes on it... Office visit-$65.00 lab fees- $175.00 injection-$45.00 Now THAT scares the me senseless.

When I was a teen I got a minor tear in the cartilage in one of my knees. The doctor my mother took me to see was this old Scottish fellow. He would stand there and twist my knee in all different directions as he listened to it. I would walk out of there hurting far more than when I walked in. The worst part of it was that he talked about operating on it, and his eyes squinted so bad I could never tell if he even had them open.

Needless to say I begged my mother to stop taking me to him and she acquiesced.

I would definitely report your doctor. I can imagine no scenario wherein "spanking" would be an acceptable piece of a discussion.

At least you are able to recognize his indiscretion. Other patients with less of their insight and intellect in tact could ultimately become mistreated in some way by someone who doesn't recognize boundaries.

BTW: I have never been scared of a doctor, but am anxious about Friday as I have to have surgery. I have never had surgery except for a c section for my daughter. *chewing finger nails*

My doctor is weird... long pauses of silence as he looks at his chart... then instead of medical questions, he'll ask personal ones

I had that happen i was sent to a arthritis doc. he starte askng me about my sex life only to find out that some sexual diseases mimic arthritis.

Anytime a Doctor or Nurse gets Near me with a needle, I get terrified. I know it is a stupid fear, yadda yadda yadda, but I have it, and it doesn't go away with the usual tricks, I TRIED EM. So, the doctor, nurse, technician, Red Cross Blood Taker, or any other wonderful health physician that gets near me with a thin tube of metal, fashioned to have a pointy end, is terrifying, and in for one hell of a fight.

If your doctor did say something like that, though, Sailor Pluto, I'd get together with some other patients of his or something, that's the kind of thing that shouldn't happen outside of a porn movie.

No I have never really been affraid of a doctor.

I have tried to get reconstructive surgery on my right knee.

I have been patched together so many times that the last couple of times I didnt even bother with getting sedated or getting any painkillers. The sooner they paths me up, the sooner I can get out of there and on with whatever I was doing.

Needles do not scare me at all either. Its only a little sting that cant really be classified as pain for me.
Only thing that does piss me off, is when the nurse miss the vein they are aiming for, and when they dont get that blood bottle or whatever it is up to the needle fast enough. I hate having my arm look like I'm a drug addict. and I hate having my clothes soiled with blood because of incompitance from nurses.

And no, blood dont bother me either.

When I was 9 I had cancer in one of my testicles...

They wheeled me around the hospital for about an hour, naked below the waist, having doctors, nurses, medical students, even the fucking anesthesiologist Squeeze my ball, when the whole reason I'd come in there was because it had swollen to the size of a walnut and hurt so bad I couldn't walk.

I haven't liked doctors much since then. But I'm not scared of them, and I'll just sit there and watch them give me shots or take blood, no big deal.

My dr's wont even tell me what is wrong with me. I look at the bill that you take up to the front to see what exactly I have.

He isnt mean or anything. Comes in, pokes you abit,writes a prescription and then leaves. Thats about it.

I have had so many medical procedures that its gotten to the point I just hate going to the dr at all.

I avoid it as long as possible.

Well, if it clearly wasn't in jest (some people just have a lame sense of humor), then I would not go back to that doctor. Sometime the state medical ethics boards will let you ask if there have been other complaints or actions against a doctor. If there have been complaints along this line, then I would add my complaint to the others.

I don't what I would do otherwise, I wasn't there. At the very least I would tell him I was uncomfortable with such language/behavior.

Ive never really been scared of the Dr. Dentist or otherwise.
This thread came just at the right time.....Today i went in for my anual exam. It went well until he put on the rubber gloves and checked......FUCK that hurts. And whats worse he wants me to get a colonoscopy (Spelling?). NOW I'M SCARED.

Shit if anyone has had one and can calm my jitters of what the fuck to expect I'd really appreceate a PM.....I'm not kidding guys.
