I found this survey, and was kinda shocked by the results!

My question, what do you or your partner prefer?

For me I wax completely bare, it's soooo much easier than shaving, and it has MUCH better side effects. So I do it more for myself than my partner, although it is what he prefers.



For many years, women have been convinced that men prefer them to wax all of their hair off, for a cleaner, “porn star” look. But a new report has been released, revealing that men actually prefer a natural look.

The poll asked 1,000 men what they preferred, and the big winner was “trimmed and tidy,” not the Brazilian which waxes the hair off completely.

Here are the results:

43% preferred natural – with a “Bermuda Triangle” – trimmed hair, and waxed edges

17% prefer a landing strip

15% prefer a heart shaped “Heart Breaker” (I’ve never heard of such a thing)

13% prefer ‘G Wax’ – a closely trimmed small square of hair

12% of men prefer totally waxed

Nads CEO Sue Ismiel said: “Pubic hair styles are fast becoming just as important as the hair on your head.

“Popular designs for women and it seems men are the landing strip, heart shape and triangle patch indicating some hair is sexier to sport than “the all-off”. But make sure you know what you’re doing as once styling begins there is no turning back.”

I've also been thinking about laser, I got a quote for my upper and lower legs and bikini (not completely bare) and it was 4000 so I'm starting to save now and then I'll figure out for sure what I'll get removed.

I just wish they would quote surveys that have actual scientific basis instead of finding guys on the street with most likely an attractive woman in a bikini asking.

Also find myself wondering where they did the survey because in porn almost all of the women are bare anymore and guys love porn. I don't get it but since they keep buying it then a large portion of the male population of the world likes bare, I mean it's almost a given.

I personally am not a fan of a full bush, it at least needs to be trimmed. Bare is beautiful, but there is also something to be said for some decoration, whether it be the Bermuda Triangle, landing strip, or other fun shape. Age also dictates what is aesthetically pleasing, the older a woman is, the less attractive bare tends to be.

Ultimately, I'm just happy to be invited to the party, so in reality, I'm not all that picky.

The practical side of pube grooming is that it lessens the amount of stray hairs getting wrapped around my tonsils, which is why trimming is requested.

I'm not a big fan of waxing, my skin is pretty sensitive, but I do it as a nice surprise sometimes. I prefer a close trim, feels better especially when I work out. Hubby loves how the juices cling to hair too!

Thankfully my husband is in the 43%. I keep it fairly trimmed, though. I went bare for a couple years, but my skin is crazy sensitive and I would end up with the little red bumps with some frequency. So....trimmed triangle of red hair vs. itchy unattractive red bumps. Yeah, we'll go with the hair.

Seems everybody likes something different. Lucky for us, huh? I can't imagine if the ALL looked exactly the same.

Nicely trimmed is my pref. BARE is very sexy initially but so many have VERY sensitive skin down there (REALLY ???) so as the stubble grows back the surrounding skin goes blotchy like they are coming down with a terminal case of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever!! Not cool and I can't imagine the feeling of beard stubble .... in my crotch. There ain't enough ALOE cream to stop you from going NUTZ (no pun intended) as those little SPEARS come out farther and farther.

I was surprised when I first saw STRAIGHT pubic hair and I've seen it a few times since. No frizzies just ... straight like head hair. Not a lot. I on;y thought it came in frizzies but I wuz wrong. Straight is cool too.

They are ALL marvelous though and the fact that our lovers are usually willing to comply with what turns US ON says it all.

Well, porn comes in bare, barely there, mo hair and hairy scary.
So it seems a fetish and everyone has their preference.
Just like getting a coffee order.
Shaving causes the horrible red bumps on my skin, but waxing the lips and between the cheeks using a HARD wax (not the kind that needs the strips) gives a nice result with no red bumps or hard stubble grow back.
Also, there is next to no pain involved with the hard wax method (for me anyway).
The technician uses hard wax around my eyebrows as well. Again, no pain to speak of, and no ingrowns later.
Even in porn you can see the hairs growing back and some red bumps starting.
Maybe someone has a fetish for that as well.
Waxing is great to get rid of the grey pubs that will eventually show up with age.

May I say I prefer Manscaping as opposed to long pubs. That's if you want a BJ.

Natural for the obvious reasons, is natural. The landing strip is also appealing. And the idea of emulating a porn star might not be a lofty goal. Unless you go with the horrible dialogue as well. There is also the school of thought that completely bare is far too prepubescent and can give a guy the heebie jeebies.

I've gone bare for about a month now for the first time, and think I will go back to trimmed, or laser it all off, one or the other.

Googling, I read "Laser hair removal is quite pricey, approximately $200 a session as of time of publication. Six to eight laser treatments, 10 weeks apart, are generally required for best results -- setting you back up to $1,600"

Does anyone else know if that is accurate?

The first time I ever went bare, my best friend and I used Nair in my bathroom. We both hated the results. Skip ahead more than a decade and I can't stand being anything but. If my lover hated it, we'd talk. There are way more pros than cons for me and shaving is just so damn easy.

I'm always quite intrigued to hear the preferences of other women and men alike. I model- pubes are always a hot topic of debate. There's a pretty large movement of photographers who feel very strongly in favor of a good ole bush. They always site it as more womanly. Unless you're paying me a very large sum of money, you don't get to dictate how I should wear my nether regions.

We're part of the 13%. But I wish they would have asked 500 over 40, 500 18-40yr olds. Seems to me the over 40 crowd, the ones who grew up with pubes in dirty mags and classic porn, don't mind the hair. After our first sexual encounter my over 40 man begged me to grow it out a little. The "heartbeaker" sounds cute but isn't as clean feeling as my original "wax it all" approach. Now I keep a lil 1x1" square and even tho it's not as much hair as Weaver's beaver in Alien, he still loves it.
