I once was a freelance using a popular accounts package...
and I used to hate my clients.
They would spend 3-6 months trying to come to grips with the program and converting their manual system to a computerised one. They would finally give up when the accounts looked like spaghetti junction, call me in and start pressurising from the word go as to how long it would take and could I do it any faster!
Grrrr! I found the solution though and it made me even more money! I employed a couple of people to do some of the untangling, another to do the filing (which after 6 months was usually a mess) and charged the client as a "team". For some reason they were quite happy with that and paid the extra money I charged...
Although in the beginning they called me in as a single operator to save money...
