are orgasms humiliating?

English being a second language does explain why your post came across that way.
I should have realised.

pon·tif·i·cate [ pon tíffi kàyt ]

intransitive verb (past and past participle pon·tif·i·cat·ed, present participle pon·tif·i·cat·ing, 3rd person present singular pon·tif·i·cates)

Definition:

speak pompously: to speak about something in a knowing and self-important way,

Different cultures have different ways of expressing things.

Lit is a good place to find Americans and Brits misunderstanding each other at times, and we are supposed to speak the same language!

LOL its fine, you should have heard the trouble I got into at customs when I arived!!!

And thank you for the definition, I had an America friend explain better in my language and he told me I was ranting...LOL now I understand why Andraste reacted so negatively.

LOL

Ask Andante how many times he and I have had communication go 'off' because he sometimes uses phrases that have 'hidden' attachments

He and I had had a bit of a disagreement, I drove him to the airport and when he got out of the car he told me to 'take care of myself.' In the UK that phrase is often used when you are saying goodbye to someone that you may not see again, if ever. I was so upset, luckily he had not meant it in that way at all.

Then there was the time he told me his daughters friend had 'put her to sleep...'

ROFLMAO

I had a friend in highschool, she was the Armenian exchange student. She would say some of the funniest things! The biggest issue we had, though, was she called everyone a sonofabitch. EVERYONE. I could not convince her that she shouldn't be calling other people sonofabitches. She'd just look confused and say 'what's wrong with calling someone a bitch, it's just a female dog' and then roll her eyes. Luckily she was such a sweety she never got in trouble with anyone for callng them that.

... if we were to continue I had to promise to make her feel the same way every time... What have I gotten myself into?
Stock in Duracell hopefully.

I don't think they are humiliating...but that's my opinion.
and you have your opinion.

we're both right :)

Again sorry for the misunderstanding and Shy Slave...LOL put to sleep!!

Thats as funny as when I visited England with some friends...one of the girls name was Randi...well that has a particular meaning in England..i.e. its slang for hooker or whore...well needless to say we had a wonderful time coming up with a name for her as she did not have a middle name. We ended up having to call her Sue for the rest of the stay there...:)

As to the topic I suppose orgasms could be humilating depending where you are when you have one, I for one would not be humilated having an orgasm in my bedroom or apartment, but I suppose in the crowded elevator on the way up to my room might be a little embarrassing.

I guess its all relative...

I need to remember this if I ever go to England. My name is really Miranda, but nobody (and I mean nobody) calls me that. I've always gone by Randi. Hmmm, I suppose I'll be Miranda if I ever go where you went. :p

LOL, no!

randy means...well...nympho, sex mad, horny.

it's not a name we hear often over here.

LOL. I've often had people point out that I would surely grow up to be a huge pervert, since even my name means "horny." I always liked to point out that "Randy" is the masculine spelling, and "Randi" is the feminine spelling, so I should be let off the hook. :D

With a name like Randi, I have a hook that I think you wont want to be left off of.

LOL Nympho!!!!! ROTFLMAO... I think that would have embarrassed her worse!! She was highly sensitive about the topic of sex...

I am going to chuckle about that all night.

Interesting thread..

I think one of the most precious sexual gifts a person can give/be given is to masturbate for someone. Something that is most often done in private, done in front of another person to give him/her pleasure.

I don't find orgasms humiliating myself but when I have had sex with a man who can somehow really really make me lose control, I've gone beyond squirting and and actually peed a bit. I found that really embarrassing, but both times it happened, the guy in question told me off for being embarrassed. He said that he took it as a compliment that he could make me do that .. er, it takes all sorts lol.

I happen to agree to the part of not being ashamed... I have made women do the same and was actually proud of the fact that i was able to have her give everything to me.

This is a really interesting topic.

I don't find orgasms humiliating in a bad way. I find it erotically humiliating to be forced to cum, being reduced to the most basic stimulus-response is incredibly arousing to me, mostly because it takes away my usual nervousness and trepidation regarding sex.

But then again, I might be the odd one as far as this is concerned.

It shouldn't be humiliating, just erotic. I find it amazing when a woman just lets go and lets it flow, vocally and in body response. Having her convulse during climax from the stimulation and collapse in total exhaustion is my goal every time. I may not achieve my goal every time, however it is the level that I bring to each encounter.

if they find the humiliation erotic,

who are you to say it's wrong?

Oh my! Well, thank you!

I understand that this is not a mentality most people share, but for a long time I was scared to death of the very concept of sex. Finding this particular kink, and a very sweet (former) boyfriend, really helped me through that. It allowed me to see sex for the joy and life affirming act that it is, instead of fearing it.

I am so glad that you have gone beyond the scary part of sex and come to know it for the feeling that it truly is... If ya need more affirmation, let me know...

Oh, thank you!

My boyfriend helped me a lot, it's a shame that things didn't work out. He was the first guy I ever did anything 'kinky' with too. He created a monster :p
