Are more men now deciding not to shoulder the burden of upholding society?

American colleges are cranking out affirmative action scholars who are functionally illiterate. There are no standards and no penalties for incompetence, mostly because its a career killer to illuminate incompetence. Consequently, these people get jobs they cant do.

I was reading a book a coupla years ago about taxes and corp. taxes. Corp. taxes in America are the second highest in the industrial world at 35%. 500 corp. CEOs and business owners, all from over seas, were asked what they would do if America cut it's corp. tax to 0%. 400 said they would build their next factory in the U.S.A. the other 100 said they would move their entire operation to America. That sounds like a much more viable solution to the one Le Jack proposes.

We would need to get deficit spending under control. That will never happen cuz the congress critters use a lot of that deficit money to buy votes with wealth redistribution, rebates, and other give aways.

I was hoping for some ideas. Instead I got smart ass. I should have known better I suppose.

Most large corporations hide their income offshore with phoney companies that inflate costs with fictional contracts. The phony company buys a suit from China for a dollar, then 'sells' it to Wally World for $100.

If you tired the same scam, sell your house to your kid for $1, the IRS would fuck you.

We need to get away from corporate taxes because of the scams....or charge every importer tariffs.

The problem is if we cut the corporate tax rate to 0% the rest of America would have to pick up the slack.

What I propose is if they want to incorporate outside the US and move their operations out, we move them out.

If it were up to me, if you want to sell anything whatsoever to America, you abide by our quality and human rights standards. Otherwise we sink your goods as soon as the ship comes into our waters, and firewall your country out. Period.

And if the rest of the world wants to sell its soul to polluted crapholes like India and undemocratic polluted crapholes like China, let them. China will rule them and we'll just fire up our space program and expand to Mars and leave the rest of y'all to choke on China's filth.

Um. Why would businesses raise what they pay their workers? Payrolls are a major expense.

Wouldn't it be irrational for businesses to give away what they've saved in taxes?

Do you really think the corporations would pass the tax savings onto the workers? How often has that happened? The CEO and corporate elite would pocket that.

Their underpaid workers would then suffer mightily under the resulting rise in consumption taxes.

The corporate tax thing is nothing more than a smokescreen. These companies left America not for the taxes, but for the right to shift the burden of cleaning up their mess to someone else. In America they can't take a big fat steaming corporate dump in your water; in China, they can. In America they pay 10 times as high wages as in China.

If we drop our wages to China's level, and if we get rid of workplace safety/pollution laws, they'll come back.

Look at the math and tell me which saves more money: no corporate taxes, or Chinese level wages/no pollution laws/no workplace safety laws...
