Are fetishes for men only?

As a guy, I have my share of fetishes. I even wrote a story in this site that expressed them. It seems, though, that popular thought, and even the fetish sites on the net, indicate men are most fetish prone. Is this true? I wonder how women react to stories where some item of clothing, body part, act, etc. receives a great deal of attention. Is this a turn on, a turn off, or exciting in so far as one's partner can be aroused by the object/act that is fetishized?

YES!!!!! women have lots of fetishes. usually more than men. we have just been taught to subjugate them because while a fetish makes a man more of a man, it makes a woman a slut. at least that is what society teaches you. personally, i think that is all crap. i do not know a single woman who doesn't have some little fetish prowling around the back of her mind. most have more than one. a lot more.

I'm generalizing here, but I think that overall men are more into fetishes that involve a certain item of clothing or body part because they tend to be more into visual stimulation.

Women certainly do have fetishes, but they seem to be more centered around a state of mind, such as being dominated or treated like a slut, than the actual object.
