Are Deplorables giving up, and conceding that their racist, hateful, evangelical vision of America's future isn't going to happen?

There's a lot of that sentiment floating around their camp today. A lot.

Will it last?

Or is it just a ruse to make us complacent? 🤔

the walls are speaking but the magats are still hoping the orange writing on the wall gets bigger... right now, they're:

a] having a sad
b] having a tantrum
c] sticking their fingers in their ears while trying to cover their eyes at the same time despite only having two hands.

If recent history is any guide, the whackadoodle right will complain and make excuses for their losses, they will earnestly debate amongst themselves exactly What Went Wrong, and then their collective mindset will coalesce around the idea that the reason they lost was.....they weren't extreme enought!

They will decide to double...or triple!..the amount of racial hatred, misogny against women and bigotry against non-Christians.

A new "better", louder and even more vitriolic Evangelical faction will emerge from the ashes!

I don't think their crushing losses in 2020, 2022, and 2023 were enough. We need to stomp them out of office in 2024, also.

The MAGAts, not being a very bright bunch, took on the majority of women in the USA, regularly express their hate of racial and sexual minorities, promote a welfare state for the rich, foster mass murder in schools and public places, and continue to promote election denial and insurrection. That's not the best platform for political victories.

The sad reality is that the champions of American gerontocracy Biden and Trump are the most likely candidates. I speculate from time to time on the benefits of what two strong, passably honest candidates could achieve and consider Klobuchar and Haley as way better qualified than the likely ancients. Won't happen of course but when the best the D's can offer is a pre-boomer against a crook, it's a dismal prospect all round.

I tend to the opinion that if the GOP could come up with a remotely non-maga candidate they would be favourites but I don't think that they have that much sense.

I'm talking about way more than the Presidential race in 2024. The GOP has totally blown it as a majority party in the House. We need to take the House, Senate, and Presidency.

Regarding the latter, current polls mean nothing. In the context of women's rights and the legal cosequences of insurrection, Biden will likely win again, and we may end up with Harris as President before 2028.
