Are big breasts so bad?

I didn't really think a C was small - until I read this thread! lol Damn girls!

It's funny how we're bashing Victoria Secret... because Lane Bryant is its sister store! If you look closely you can see the resemblance. Unfortunately, LB has a very limited amount of lingerie to offer compared to VS - but that's changing. They've got really nice matching bra and pantie sets with a variety of styles. LB also has non-underwire bras (someone was asking...). I even saw thigh-high stockings not too long ago... garters might be next. Remember when a couple years ago LB offered a whole line of corsets? I hope that comes around again.

I am also a 42 DD and I also think that the other company meantioned in the first of this thread has a very big secret....they only make bras for smaller breasts...
You should see their faces when I go into look around...
Like all snooty you don't belong here looks....disgusting...

I wish we had a lane bryant around her ours closed a few years back...

I second the plug for Lane Bryant!

Besides having a huge selection, they are made SO very well...I
have worn bras that were so much more expensive yet quickly
became completely useless...Lane Bryant bras seem to last
forever. Just like all the rest of their clothing. I have never
been disappointed with anything from their stores, ever.

I have wondered why in the world companies don't cater to larger
women, when the 'average woman' is something like a size
fourteen or sixteen...don't they realize that if that is average,
that means approximately half of the population is OVER that,
correct? Which means they are losing out on a HUGE base
of potential customers.

No wonder places like Lane Bryant are absolutely booming lately. :) They understand reality!

S.

that is correct! Stores such as Lane Bryant, Catherine's, The
Avenue, and certain dept. stores such as JC Penney's have
plus-size depts that are decent. I've gone into Macy's, and
their plus-size clothes are way too mom/matronly for me in my
opinion.
And yes, the "average woman" is about a size 14-16. Not all
women are size 6s!

I'm a 34 D/DD. The Ds are too small for me and gives me what me and my sister call "boob fluff". The DDs are too big. I buy my bras from either Target or Victoria's secret. It's hard to find the bigger bras in VS, but they do have some up to 34DD, I don't know about bigger sizes though. Those are cute, but are usually too expensive for a poor college girl like me. Target has cheap basic ones, and I kow they also have at least 34DD. If you want fancy stuff like lace and pretty designs though you're pretty much out of luck anywhere. It makes me so mad! I think a bunch of us should start a new line of bras for bigger boobs that are really cute and comfortable. Anyone with me?

I'd love to give some input on this! Great idea! :)

Totally with you! The thing is, i'm not a "plus size" anywhere in the universe except for Victoria's Secret. According to their sizes, i'm a 36DD, but their sizes run small, so i usually end up getting 36D at other places. The only DD bras at VS are the plain jane ones. And yes, the women are snooty as hell if i ever dare ask them to help me find something in my size. Hmmmm...maybe i'll take a trip to LB today!

I wish that Victoria's Secret carried bras in my size of
40DD and 42DD as I flip-flop between those sizes! Last
time I was in that store (eons ago!) I inquired about
40DD and the girl told me that size was only available thru
their catalog! SHEESH!

You know as a man, like all men, we love big breasts. Oh heck... who am I kidding, we just love breasts! But all kidding aside, I know from a friend just how much bigger breasts can be hard on your back as well as what this whole thread is about... hard to find something that fits. She also gets hers at Lynn Bryants and sings their praises as well.
It just really amazes me that when most women in the US are sizes 14-18 and with larger breasts why do they keep making things for skinny women. What's up with that?
You would think that since this is the normal, they would make more money making things that normal people need and want.
So, for all the trouble you all go through (but to all the pleasure you give us), my hat is off to you... you fine lovely ladies!

very good point you made....why are us women, many of
us anyway, a size 14 and above, and yet they make clothes
for women smaller???

US, the CONSUMERS...THE BUYERS OF CLOTHING, we have
to speak up to the companies!!!!!

I am a 38 DD/DDD (E/F) and I hate bras and hate underwires even more. I have the ones I wear most custom made. I fit into Fredrickson of Hollywood bras but I prefer to see my toes when I look down, not a shelf of breasts.

I have been working on some bra designs with my lingerie cad software and eventually I think I will have something I love.

Does Lane Bryant have non-underwire bras?

I loved this bra called
Bioform by charnos. Unfortunately, it is only useful for events where I will be mainly standing, because the molding slips under my ribs. :(

I kind of like corsets as the hold my breats up from my waist and hips in a way. no pressure on my ribs, neck or shoulders.

lane Bryant does carry non-underwire bras.......I don't' wear
those, but I have seen them in the store I frequent :)

I know at certain times of the year, esp. around Valentine's
Day, LB has come out w/ the corsets........ :)

I actually had bought my first ever garter belt and stocking
set at LB two years ago.....I love it!!!

Also.....I've bought fishnet tights there too.......:)

*quirks an interested eyebrow* lingere cad software? details please! i sew!

Wow, I never realized how bad it was to find larger size bras. I'm only a 38-c, but I found that it's hard to find "nice, pretty" bras at VS. Never thought of LB for bras even though I shop there for work clothes. I guess I'm just glad that I'm not one of my girlfriends, she was a D before she got pregnant and an F or larger after and during nursing.

With the "larger size" clothes, it's SO hard to find something nice that is cut to fit me. Granted I'm only a 14-16, but even then, it either looks like a mu-mu, tent, or nothing that I'd wear if you paid me! :D

Wow ladies!

What a great response to this thread. I didn't realize there were so many hot mamas feeling and thinking the same way and things that I am. Now, if only there was something we could do about it all...

I'm only a lowly C-cup but I had to reply to this thread....

why hasn't anyone mentioned Frederick's!!??!!

They have MUCH sexier clothing/lingerie than VS...and for a lot cheaper!!

I have had GREAT success with ordering from their website.

Here's their "full-figured bra collection" they have such great styles and they all look so sexy!!

http://www.fredericks.com/category....2&category_name=Full+Figure+Collection&Page=1

They even go up to an F on select models.

And here's their "full-figured" line including corsets/lingerie/dresses/etc.

And I recently bought this...

http://www.fredericks.com/product.a...2002&category_name=Plus+Tops&product_id=73844

I absolutely love it!! It's just for everyday wear but oh-so-sexy.

Yeah, you wouldn't think it's that big of a deal. I used to be a 36C until i switched birth control pills...then whoa mama! My bra collection quickly became much sadder and uglier.

Oh hon

Wish I could give you some of mine, I use to love mine when they were a plump C but the after having three kids, they are up to an overflowing DD. No one told me I would get stretch marks on my boobs!!

Well most men do not mind the marks

I mean we all have marks. No one has a perfect body and face it, women who have kids are going to have marks and who cares.
It is the spirit inside the body that is the best thing.
As I always say... this is just my earthsuit.... but the spirit inside is a hunk! lol

And I used to live on the MS coast... where are you located at?

Imagine that, I used to live in Kentucky. I live in the Delta now, in Cleveland.

Ya know

Ya know that most women I know are worried about what I will or do think of their breast size?

I love'm all, seriously.

There is a gal I know who is 34 A (if I remember right) and she has mentioned it several times in the beginning. I DON'T CARE!
I like her for HER!

I have a high regard for her and how she looks or what size cup she is doesn't mean a darn thing to me.

Therefore, ladies, PLEASE be happy with what you have.

(and now back to the thread . . . . .)
