Thank you RJ! But I'm saving the Jello, er Jelly Vibe for you, since the Angelic One is awol.

well...I'm a regular lurker, does that count?

This is my third year, and one of these times I'm actually going to get to 50,000.

Yup, you count! Join the insanity! I'm glad someone else spoke up. My apologies for the thread title! Y'see, I was trying to avoid peeps linking me to the NaNo thread in the AH. I've tried delurking over there a few times, and 'tis a bit chilly! I'm sort of friendly with one or two people over there, but well... It reminds a bit of third grade when Shelly told my friend Bree and I that we'd always be welcome at her house after school and on the weekends, but she'd appreciate it if we didn't hang out with her at recess because she wanted to be popular.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. I didn't mean to be exclusionary. Last year was the first year that I made it to 50K in the NaNo, but D's mariposa has made it for the past five, or some insane number like that.

I'm giving it a shot this year. I've thought about it in the past and just couldn't do it. This year I decided I need the deadline/goal to get me off my butt and writing - although I guess I'll actually be on my butt if I'm writing, huh? Good luck everyone!

Right soooooooooooooo Mindy is out of the question as well then ?

Hmm, Seeds of Chaos is gonna be 50,000 or so, maybe more, but I've spent about five months on it.
In all I'm probably way way way too busy. However, if I finish Seeds of Chaos soon enough I do have a wierd storyline I might try throwing together.

50k in a month eh? that's 1700 words a day, 2.5 pages in Openoffice, yikes.

I refuse to start another book when I'm not done the first draft of another, though...

I want to.

I have no plot. I have no characters. I have no world, and I have no motivation. Needless to say, I'm not feeling terribly confident.

I'm not sure if pestering the forums again this year will help or slow me down.

Not sure how much my presence matters over here unless one knows to associate me with Luna_Wolf72 but yes, I'm going to attempt to do NaNo this year.

:rose:

Welcome Trinique! Hee... This is gonna be fun. I'm a bit short in the plot area, too. I'm also planning on doing this one without being in the hospital on major drugs.

Last years was written after the accident from hell in under 20 days and I was taking LOTS of pain meds. By they way, it still has discernable plot. :cathappy:

Hey ciara. LOL i'm not so sure what the hell I'm doing participating in nano. i have terrible motivation. i guess we'll see what happens!

Found this on accident but it sounds very interesting.

I might be a bit to much of a novice to reach that length of a novel yet but I might have a go.

If nothing else if I can't quite manage it I'll bookmark it for next year and try again.

Fuzzy crunchy newbies!

You are so ready... Lessee, I pulled out a novel of about a 60K and I was still sorta lacking a plot on December 1rst. I think Button and Paul are the only ones who have one already.

Gracie, I'm sort of afraid of what a Grace novel would entail. So now you HAVE to write one.

Welcome newbies...

I started to last year, and well things got complicated in my life and my muse just flew the coop so I never even started other than the prep work of a few character sketches and some plot lines. I've been debating on working on that one again, or coming up with a new idea, neither really striking me at the moment.

Mine will involve aliens. and mutants. and mutant aliens ^_^

lol, I'm thinking a fantasy novel set on another planet.

Welcome newbies...

I have characters, now. Jeremy, Soleil, Sebastian and Damien (boy, girl, cat and ferret) introduced themselves to me over the past week.

I like them. I think we'll get along better. I need to further develop the personalities of the supporting two, though. :)

I have a town that I'm writing in with two others and a character. It's a girl this time, so it's going to be weird.
