im what most might call a conservative. but i am not a christian...your comments on this issue?

why are conservatives seen as God fearing people when chances are there are more than a few that might not even be christian?

(there is nothing wrong with this in my opinion, im just bored and curious...)

are all liberals athiests?

sounds kinda dumb, doesn't it?

I don't mean to be critical. I know you are sincere. Just think about it for a bit.

:)

im not saying what i think...im saying what others always say...
or perhaps im not being clear enough on the link liberals seem to see with being christian and being one with conservative values/issues...

I think of conservatives as christians because of the close link in leadership. Who pushes prayer in school? Who touts private vouchers (to faith based educational programs)? Who's always talking about Jesus (my mortal enemy by the way)? I feel the blurring of the seperation of church and state comes from the right.

Mind you, I wouldn't necessarily think someone was conservative because they were christian, but I haven't met many conservatives who weren't christian.

That's interesting. It depends in what context conservative in implied. Some of the most conservative people I've met were pot-smoking "liberal" hippies.

bump...

i push prayer in school...i never say to who though....

i think jesus is a nice role model but he's not the only one...
