Approval Delays

I'm doing my best to be patient. And I've been very polite in my messages.

I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same problem, because if not I worry my story might be stuck in limbo or something.
I had one in pending for over a week. I pushed it back into drafts by editing it. I then pasted the story into a new story form with a new title, and then submitted that. It was then published in 48 hours. That might work for you? What's the longest people have had a published story sit in "pending hell" for?

A week, but it was my own silly fault, because I forgot to put the right anthology phrase in the note to the editor. Mine usually go up within three days, sometimes two.

The themed contest submissions process is getting sloppy. My first entry to the current contest was marked for the contest but wasn't registered there. It was moved in the contest when I requested it be moved. My second one was submitted three days ago and hasn't been posted. For years contest entries were getting posted within twenty-four hours of submission.

My April Fools submission is going into day two with no sign of it being published. Now, I'm just hoping it makes it in on time, since the deadline is tonight.

I just saw that it will be published on Friday the 24th. So, I'm happy!

I honestly think it's just weight of numbers -I had 8 stories in my queue - and they were all approved although they'd been waiting a while. With the competition and also the number of submissions daily - its going to take a while to get around to things.

To whom it may concern, I just got an initial chapter of a series approved in about a day. So some things are moving quickly. I do have a series where every chapter so far has taken over a week. It probably is that according to the content, the powers that be sometimes feel the need to go over a story with a fine tooth comb, sometimes they don't.
