Cross posting on other sites?

Please note: I am not asking whether it's allowed, as the copyright FAQ makes it pretty clear that it is (though if I'm misreading that somehow, please tell me that too).

I'm asking more for the social aspect. Is it frowned upon? Are people (readers, authors, the powers that be) going to be upset if I post my work to multiple places? Would it get me added to a 'naughty list' and make it less likely for my stories to get accepted here if I'm also posting them elsewhere? Are the answers affected by the timing of when a story gets posted elsewhere in relation to when it goes live here? (This last question is especially relevant in light of publishing delays.)

Does anyone have experience with cross posting on multiple sites? Is it a no-no, totally cool, somewhere in the middle? Thanks.

From discussions I have had, it seems ok. I am starting to play with it. I hate to say this, but there are issues with this site that make me worry about longterm risks, so having a plan B is worthwhile in my mind.

I post many of my stories on a few other sites, most of which specialize in particular suites of related fetishes. The only complaint I've ever heard is because one of those sites updates its catalogue once a week, and the vagaries of Lit's approval system means that sometimes a story comes out here days before or days after it does elsewhere. But that will barely matter for most readers, I suspect.

I also used to have a Patreon, and the only site rule that matters for stories on pay sites is that you can't post partial works as teasers. Or at least, they'll be taken down if reported, since I doubt Lit has the time or inclination to validate every submission in that way. I generally posted things on my Patreon until they were complete (if serialized) and then released them here afterwards, sometimes in multiple parts. I generally mentioned that in the notes to the editor, so I have to assume there was tacit consent for that technique, since it didn't result in any rejections.

Not a drama. It's your story, you own copyright, you can publish wherever you want.

Don't publish teasers here, then direct readers to a pay site to get the rest of the story. That's a blatant breach of the terms of service for Lit and can get you banned.

I'm in the process of copying content over to Theoreads. It's a different audience, a pay per read model. I have no idea how my content will run. The owner likes it, wants to put me on the hamster wheel to punch out content on a regular basic, but that's not how I write. Not going to happen.

It's a suck it and see right now, but they're giving me nice covers, and some nice comments. Early days.

If I'm on multiple platforms my royalties are 35% (at a dollar per purchase, yep) or 70% if I'm exclusive to them. Can't wait for the millions to flow in, haha.
