I wanted to express my appreciation for the Private Messages from some of you, about me not being as active as I normally am.
Last week was VERY busy for my Emergency Response Team. At 11:59 PM on Saturday we had performed a total of 5 Water Rescues. (Kid fishing fell in the river Friday Night), 2 House Fires, 3 Barn Fires, 5 Accident Scenes resulting in 1 fatality, and over 100K ended up without power so we set up "Cooling Stations."
My team and I were so absolutely exhausted by Sunday Morning that the Chief cancelled our Sunday Meeting so we could rest as much as possible.
IF you are in the United States, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay hydrated and indoors as much as possible. ANOTHER heatwave is going to effect at least 20% of the total population this week.
Thankfully in my corner of the world, we are not expecting storms so lightning strike fires are low risk, however, some of you on the East Coast should keep an eye on things.
I hope that everyone is doing as well as possible.
