Probably had a brain fart. After a couple of days of other R/L distractions I curently do not remember exactly what I was trying to say with "obsequiousness". There is an alternative meaning that leads one to 'devoted' but taken in a greater context would probably better be interpreted as 'slavishly devoted'. I think my intent at that moment was to comment positively about your openness to and with your adoring Lit audience. While I think you had been slavishly devoted to your husband for many years, and perhaps others for whom you have served as caretaker -- an intruiging (even endearing) personal quality -- and I also see you as steadfastly devoted to the standards you've developed regarding your willingness to fully expose your personal parts on this site, I don't think either of those examples means you are obsequious.

The submissive qualities related toward obsequious traits are not those that I see in your posts, for the most part, espcially in the latter half of this thread. In my observation you project a beautiful, successful, professional, conservative, fun-loving, horny, sexually unsatisfied, curious, semi-exhibitionist, young woman who is searching for several things -- the most interesting to me being a search for who you want to be, and who do you want to be intimate with? Hmmm... "slavishly devoted" to my husband would be a bit farfetched (I hope anyway). For a long time it was lovingly devoted... then dutifully devoted... and well, now we are where we are.


Ha ha, "standards"! I did have some boundaries when I first posted. But I'm okay with posting more explicit photos now and then. As I've said recently - I am comfortable with my body (though there are definitely areas that I wish were in the shape they were in before life turned upside down) and I have never bought into the "women should be ashamed of their bodies and sexuality" message.

I just don't want to post the explicit photos all the time. I find my favorite pics are those that hint and tease.

While these are virtual flowers, they are still delightful. Sigh. The lat time I received flowers was January 2000 - can I tell y'all that without sounding pathetic? I hope so. I remember it so well because my husband was in rehab afer his surgery and he had a nurse help him order a "thank you" bouquet of roses for me.

Now please don't think I was pining for flowers or anything like that. It's just that after his surgery, he couldn't drive and we were usually together, so he didn't have a lot of opportunity to make arrangements if he did think of it. In fact it never really crossed my mind until I was putting together a gorgeous and huge bouquet for myself for V-Day.
