Wow, thank you Nolehenry. My past few days have been far more on the heavy/ grumpy side than I care for, so this was very nice to hear.

The heaviness is the big life stuff - not gonna bring y'all down with that. The grumpiness though... ugh. Here's why I'm grumpy

One of my nieces (well, "2nd niece") Is auditioning for Juilliard. She had SO wanted me to go to New York with her, her mom and my sister-in-law. Well, she REALLY wanted her cousins (my actual nieces) to go with her, but they couldn't get away, so I was an appealing "consolation" prize.

I was on the fence about going. I REALLY wanted to go to NY, I wanted to support her and cheer her on, and of course I wanted to explore the city. But... my sister-in-law will soon be my EX-sister-in-law.

So the "soon-to-be-Ex" aspect, plus other awkwardness made me decide to bow out.

Now, I'm stuck in the "country" (drives me crazy and not in a good way) and kicking myself for not joining in on the Big Apple adventure. Especially after seeing the Facebook pics.

Sigh.

Oh well. At least I'm slightly warmer here.
