I find myself the relatively embarrassed possessor of 6 Easter avs. As a Jew, I don't think I'll be using them, oddly enough.

They are shamefully cutesy. Don't say I didn't warn you.

does this mean you aren't going to stuff your lips with marshmellow peeps and jellybeans either?

no thanks, but can you find me a good passover av?

hey nora, what do you serve at your seder?

I'm a horrible atheist, but I take full advantage of Fish Fry prices being so damn low during lent.

Thank you Catholics!

(They're "emblems" of Easter and Easter's a Christian Holiday [yeah yeah, based on pagan shit and directly as a result of Passover, this I know] and I choose not to celebrate Christian holidays as I'm not a Christian, Bob)

I eat my jelly bellies year long (I don't particularly like regular jelly beans) and I only buy the peeps the day after Easter, then let them sit out and get hard and crusty before I eat them.

actually not so much Christian as.. never mind.
I fully plan on stuffing my face with marshmallow peeps and pig out on chocolate eggs. Nora they’re adorable.

I'll make you a nice kasher l'pesach sign. ;)

Well...this year I'm sitting out. I'm working first night and Eumenides is coming in 2nd. Last year I skipped the soup, made a roasted lamb with lots of veggies so nobody would miss the starch. My brother really wanted farfel stuffing, so I made some. It's so nasty! BLECH! I can't remember what I did for dessert, but I probably have it in a file somewhere.

Mom will cook this year, which means undersalted soup with leaden matzah balls, dried out chicken, farfel stuffing and the oh so delicious (not) mandel brot for dessert. Gee, so sorry I'm gonna have to miss it. ;)

exotic jellybeans aren't my thing... i'll take regular beans... and eat the red ones

peeps, are roasted over the flame on the stove, while speared on a fork... all melty with a crispy sugar coating.

nummy.

My boyfriend hates fish, which is annoying but hey - more for me.

matzah balls

He made me learn how to make MB soup. It is now my favorite soup in the world. (after sizzling rice soup.) (oh and maybe miso)

that's so sweet of you :)

your seder meal sounds good. i'm always interested in what people make because the traditional stuff is sooooo icky and BORING (in my opinion)

Shaddup or I'll fluff all over you. Just see if I don't!!!

Angel...imagine matzah balls in miso. Now that would rock! :D I'm lucky that hubby eats fish. Very lucky since he doesn't eat half of the nummy foods in the universe.

I agree. Oh man...childhood traumas involving my mom drying out various beasties. *gags* Oh, and the Old Vienna gefilte fish in the um...I think it's the gold label is pretty tasty. My personal theory is that if you put enough horseradish on it, it all tastes pretty good. ;)

Lemme see if I kept the folder with last year's recipes.

I think I'm gonna have to make or scan a kasher l'pesach stamp. I can't seem to google one. *grumbles* Well, only one really lame one.

I am so sorry Nora,
should I edit? *shaking
'cos Nora skeers me*

I'll have the Breakfast Quesadilla

"A flour tortilla filled with cheddar and provolone cheese scrambled eggs and choice of goetta, sausage or bacon served with a side of our homemade salsa choice of homefries or grits 6.95"

:D

Ok, Debbie? PROVOLONE does NOT belong on any kind of burrito. Ever. No.

When you come here, I'll show you. :D

I'll take the Eggs Noraleans with homefries:

Two poached eggs, Chez Nora crab cakes and béarnaise sauce on English muffins choice of homefries or grits.

YUM!

Heyyyyyyy Lexie? How's this? I think I spelled everything right! ;)
