In America... on the cartoon "Madeline," when the little girls all sit down to dine they say a little "prayer."

In English it is:

"We love our bread. We love our butter. But most of all, we love each other."

Apparently, the french version does not translate like that... I was just curious, how does the french version translate into english. If they aren't loving bread, butter, and each other, then what?

I think this is a job for Izzy. My french suck so bad that I don't even wanna try to translate that one.

Well, you don't want to translate the English into French... I need someone to translate whatever it really was in French.. to what it WOULD be in English...

I wasn't very clear on that sorry... (eeep!)

Well,

ou revoir... je faime (or however you spell it...)
besdies... I have to go to work now. hehe

Pardon my French

In the original French it went something like:
We love our bed, we love our butter, we use it when we love each other.

I believe it originated in the classic French film" Last Tango in Paris"

Those French always had a way with words.
~~
Tasty.
