Anyone see SHOWTIME series "The L Word"

I don't think it's available here in Canada

wondered what your take is, on the show

It is available in Canada, just on the premium movie channel The Movie Network or Movie Central

(I only have the basic cable)

My girlfriend's dad is going to tape it for me because we don't get Showtime. I'll probably pick it up tomorrow.

i've heard bad things about the show even before its been aired ... its not being shown in the uk but if its really good i'll try and get copies of it

My father-in-law forgot to tape it last night, so he's going to try to remember to tape it tonight on Showtime 2. I think it's also airing again on regular Showtime on Wednesday.

Last night I went out to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner; if you've never been to one it's helpful to know that you will probably be sharing a table with at least one other party - the tables seat 10 and each has its own grill. Anyway, across from me I heard two women talking about The L Word and saying they didn't know what it was about. Another woman (in their group) said she had heard it was about 7 women. My gf and I were cracking up because we'd thought the first two women were butch dykes...The L Word has been all over the gay press, and if they paid any attention to it they'd have known the show was about lesbians!

I actually saw the show and for the most part I liked it.
I won't ruin it for those who haven't seen it by breaking down my likes and dislikes but if anyone wants to discuss it feel free to pm me

Yesterday I saw an article in the Cape Cod Times about it, since there was one of 21 special viewings around the country over here in Provincetown, the Cape's little GLBT corner of the world (they always get all the good stage shows!).

It basically had a small description of what the people thought of it. It said that some people liked it, some people didn't, but all of them were happy to see something of its kind finally on television and most would watch the second episode. We'll see how it does on-air.

I saw it last night...some friends taped it. and frankly it bothered me. It was so confusing, and unreal, but I guess that is most of TV. I think it made a joke of our lives.

I hope it gets better. I will try one more time tonight.

My father in law finally got me the tape...I'm putting it in the VCR now.

Wow, it's got markings for Adult Language, Nudity, Adult Content, and Strong Sexual Content. So far so good!

Let me know what you thought of the scene...where the women decided to sleep with a stranger to get preged. WHAT STRONG LESBIAN IN HER RIGHT MIND WOULD RISK AIDS, STDS, AND OTHER STUFF LIKE THAT. None...thats what pissed me off.

I was half-hoping they would wake up in the morning and say "wow, we were really drunk last night!" That's the only way I could imagine them doing something so stupid.

It's on tonight. My sister and her gf even ordered the premium channels again so that they would be able to watch it.

i hope there is something good about it, as it's not on til 11pm, and i don't ever stay up to watch anything at that hour

I really liked the show so far.

Plus the girls are a realistic pretty, which I really like.

I feel the same way about stuff like that. I said that Angels in America was on Showtime, and then saw them say HBO on the Globes. I had to go back and edit that so I didn't look like a complete idiot.
