Anyone see Letterman on Tues?

If you did, you most likely heard him telling jokes about the situation. Such as,

"As I was coming into work today, I saw a squirrel showing patriotism. He was painting his nuts red, white, and blue."

My question is, do you think it ok for him to be cracking jokes about the crash, AS LONG as he doesn't disrespect the families in any way? Or, do you think, cracking jokes, like the one above, IS disrepecting the families?

personally......i need to laugh, it doesn't mean i have no respect for the families or the victims.......we will live with the memory for the rest of our lives........a little laughter will never change that....

I agree. Honestly, I don't think that joke was done in poor taste.
