Anyone from the UK?

I know that feeling. Off sick and in hospital with spinal injury, work called the other day saying they are thinking of terminating my contract as I am not able to do the job due to my disability and have no other positions. Im speaking to the Union
Only just catching up, was this a work related injury?
Something that has been progressing through work?

No not work related. Just statted getting excruciating back pain for no reason for 4 weeks then collapsed and couldn't walk or stand. Turns out I had a calcified disc which prolapsed into my spinal cavity and compressed my spinal cord and nerves so needed an operation on spine. Now have a missing vertebrae and rods and screws to support spine which resulted in loss of use of legs. 4 months later with intense rehab I am now able to stand and trying to tske a few steps with a frame. Can onky get abijt in a wheelchair now
