It's snowing heavily here at this moment. Just 2 days ago it was pleasantly sunny and about 70 degrees. I'm actually glad winter has finally arrived. At least for now.

I have had my truck locked into 4x4 for the past week...nothing strange about that...its winter....and may I add...YIPEEEEEEE

We just had a "Purple Level" wind warning. Why is that strange? Well, they have literally never issued a Purple Level warning.

California? That must really suck. I been praying for you folks. Secretly hoping it doesn't happen here.

I think I'm safe but a few of my friends have been evacuated and a couple have been burned out. Worse case scenario for me would be a phone call asking me to meet a client in the San Fernando Valley or having to drive up the 405 north of LAX.

Only a day or less and this thread already way down the line? My power has been off for about a day due to unexpected snowfall. I was ready for it, but most people around here were caught off guard. But I managed to have some unexpected fun.

It's sunny and not raining/snowing...not unheard of but such a long stretch of it is not typical either.

Well, you see, I have a trucker friend, goes
through every state and is well used to odd weather.

Sleeps in the cab.

I've seen all kinds of pics from him, sunsets to snow.

Every time I hear somebody claim there's something abnormal about the weather, upon investigation and reference to the actual facts, it turns out that there is nothing strange at all.

The talking heads, the frickin' busybodies and the professional gossips of the media have so misinformed the public with incessant sensationalism that they've conditioned the public into an irrationality that resembles medieval superstition.

As hard as it is to believe that people are that gullible, it turns out that they actually are susceptible. A certain portion of the population can be made to believe almost anything.

It's depressing.
