NOT in a BDSM sort of way. Looking for new experiences solo or with the spouse and wondering how erotic it is. Also wondering what the sensations feel like. Not looking at it as a turn on by fetish, but wanting to know if the sensastions/stimulation itself is an effective turn on and can lead to orgasm. Thanks for any input. Didn't know where to post this since the general forum looks like all politics and definitely not interested in the BDSM side of this so thought I'd avoid that forum.

It's like sticking your dick in a light socket.

Done a bit of it--to research stories. If you stay on "tingle," it's not at all like the light socket image.

One of these devices was featured in the first season of Madmen. The secretary who was sent home with one to give it a test drive said it was better than a man.

I came across one a few years ago in a large estate. The owner had been an opera singer and she had every kind of home exercise device ever sold. This one was from the late 50's. It was complete, in the original box, with the complete set of electrodes and belts. I had to test it, just to make sure it wouldn't kill someone. It could be adjusted from a tingle to an uncontrolled muscle spasm. I cannot see any use for it in sex play, but I know people who might.

When I researched it, all links led back to BDSM sites. A middle aged gay couple were delighted to find it and bought it on the spot.

I have a working electrolux in my garage you can have for $40 plus shipping. Attachments included.

My light sockets don't seem to have a "tingle" setting. Now what?

tens units are....interesting.

on a totally different note, I could use one for my shoulder right about now.

When I was a kid of about 4, I had Polio. After discharge from Hospital, I attended a clinic for physio and so on. One of the 'and so on' was an electric machine doing painful things to the muscles of my arm; it bloody hurt!
How these gadgets can have a sexual connotation is beyond my understanding.

Just for the record, I did try a TENS unit, in fact, own like Three of them - one is the fairly substantial Feminique body shaper, another the Rejuvenique Facemask - you gotta check that one out - it's a TENS unit FOR YOUR FACE!

I think I'm going to do a Steampunk mod on that one.

Anyway, I hear good things about Violet wands, but never tried one - it is basically the same thing as sticking your finger in alight socket, just not quite as intense, since they typically use a 9V DC battery with some voltage amplification circutry - less voltage than a taser or a light socket, but yeah, like being poked with tiny needles, didn't really do anything for me, but I'm not into needles either.

electrosex

:devil:Tens units are too weak, especially after the first time. I have a antique hand-crank telephone generator that wikk kight up your life for just a few seconds. One wire around your big toe or in your butt and the other wire around your cockhead and turn the crank. Hollywood has never had stars like that!! :D

Electrosex is more common amongst the BDSM crowd -- but that's mostly because anyone with the least smidgin of kink in them gets labelled "BDSM," and the vanilla crowd stay away from things that seem outlandish or wierd. But electrosex doesn't have to be BDSM related at all, think of it as a hightech vibrator.

Electric stimulation feels like stimulation. Sometimes it feels like pressure, sometimes like a vibrator, sometimes like... I dunno what. But our nerves can only reference what they are used to, so none of it feels like anything otherworldly or something like that-- just.. more. Yes, it can be painful, if that's your bag, but there's no law that says it has to. TENS units, which mostly stay on one frequency and one sinewave, tend to fatigue the nerve endings, and get boring, actually-- the electro units that are designed for sex can mix and match frequencies and waves, and keep you interested... very, VERY interested. :cattail:

Sure you did. You probably licked a nine volt battery and cried to your wife that your poor little forked tongue hurt.
