anyone else having this problem.........

woke up this morning and had to re-register. said my password was invalid so i redid everything. no problemo. left the house and came to the store and had to go through the same thing. have checked user options and it still says that i should be automatically logged on when i access lit.

not a major rant and i should probably be more worried about how much time i spend here but is anyone else experiencing this today?

I haven't had any problems at all with Lit today. Hotmail is another story

Ah so Hotmail just doesn't like the people on the east coast? Yahoo has been working remarkably well lately.

It could be the 'cookie' that stores that information on your end was deleted...check your IE/Netscape options to see how often those files are auto-deleted...

I'm not sure why it happened again, unless you somehow shut down 'during' the windows maintenance and it started all over again when you came back later.

The newer versions of windows do SOO much without the end user even ever knowing about it. Chances are something changed while you turned your back.

Be careful you don't leave any sharp objects near the mouse when you're sleeping.

Oh...and I presume you mean sing-in when you say re-register. if you mean re-register then that's definately a Lit problem.

Seems whenever I lose my cookies I have to relog in...but logging in only brings me back to the login screen over and over again...usually have to log in at the forum and then go back...

ok, i'm gonna take the high road here..it's killin' me but i'm not gonna say a word about "loosing your cookies", not a word out of me, nope, not a one.

no dreamer, i meant re-register. when i'd try to post a reply it would say that i'm not registered and when i tried to sign in it told me i had an invalid password. then i requested a new password and after i got that i could go in and change it back to the original one. then when i checked all my info in my profile and user options were just like i left them.

oh, well...........gremlins i'll betcha

just put the general boards address line in your favorites box.

2 clicks gets me right to the general board without ever having to sign in.

I normally have the problem of being signed out now and then. Certain days it can be annoying as hell. Dunno about the re-registration thing though!
