She was captured in a pod by inter-dimensional slavers who sell mutants as slaves to whomever needs them. The slavers were selling them to the Kree when the deal was interrupted by the Skrulls and also Bishop's daughter. Yes, Bishop has a daughter with Deathbird, the older sister of Lilandra, queen of the Shi'ar. During the fight, the pod popped open and out came a bald woman. Lee, Bishop's daughter, rescues the woman and brings her onto her ship, The Starjammer, as the Brood join the fight. To get off the planet quicker, Lee decides to go into hyperspace while still in the planet's atmosphere. This causes the planet to explode and the bald woman, Jean Grey, manifests the Pheonix force to absorb the occuring shockwave. All of the X-Men get a feeling and look to the stars when this happens.

BTW, if you are a fan of Wolverine or Storm, you should know that they are a couple in this series.

Wolvie & Storm an item? Nice!!! ;)

Bishop having a daughter??? With DEATHBIRD?!? HELL no!!!
Wait, that's in "The End" storyline, right? If so, I can deal...

No I can't! Bishop and DEATHBIRD?!? Shee-it! After Storm, that's the BEST he can do for himself?!? Blech!!! :p :p

Actually, it isn't boring, it's probably just the way I described it. The main reason I picked it up initially is because Chris Claremont is doing the book, and so far issues 1&2 have been very good.
