Anybody excited about March Madness?

Funny, and kind of sad, how so many people post sentiments like "I hate basketball" in a thread about basketball.

How about that Baylor UNC game today?? Great stuff. I am glad I am not a devoted fan to either team - not sure I could have handled that kind of drama!

The Baylor game was good.
There was a lot of good ball,
but I am glad that I don't
draw up brackets. I'd feel
dumb as dirt today, you know,
"Why didn't I see that coming?"

I would have simply penciled in Baylor for the win and never given it a second thought.

Villa Dilla did have a better record than the Buck Eyes, but in the infamous words of Dale Earnhardt Jr, "That don't mean shit right now." I still had Ohio State beating Villa Dilla and losing in the round of eight.

That's the thing about this tournament, what makes it fun and unpredictable is there's always surprises like this.

Those that say they hate it haven’t watched a good game like many of these with their college career on the line. These guys are playing all out. I wish some of the teams I was pulling for won. I wish in the last 80 or 90 seconds to see a come back before it is over this year.
I would also like to see much more pantyless cheerleader action!

A lot of good game action, it was a great first weekend.

Three Big 12 teams in the Sweet Sixteen.

Rawk Chalk Jayhawk

I wish Creighton’s 7’1” center hadn’t been out with a knee injury. Bluejays played the talented Jayhawks really close without their starting big man. It was still a great game but can’t help but wonder…. what if.

...as in, pretty disappointing.

I had UCLA picked to win the whole thing. I really thought they'd get further. They played okay, but North Carolina was just...better.

Although, on a happier note, I am stoked to see St. Peters win again. They don't appear to have much chance against North Carolina, but then again, people said that about Kentucky and about Purdue too.

The games all follow a template.
No matter who is winning by how much at any point in the game,
and the end they're within spitting distance of each other on the scoreboard.

So, I only pay attention to the final four minutes...

I’ve got Nova winning it all. That’s about the only part of my bracket that isn’t a train wreck. They sure take a lot of heat for their slow measured ball play.

KU - Final Four.
Villanova next. Good coaches, good conferences, good players, good teams, probably a good game.

St. Peters. Bug on a windshield. They did make history, did have an experience,
busted a lot of brackets and gave underdogs everywhere hope
(and a little dose of reality).

Dear Villanova,
Houston had a plan to slow the Jayhawks down too.
Then they discovered that KANSAS can play some defense as well...
